The Loser's Club rose their friend Ben's Home and he rushed inside not bothering to wait for the rest of the group.

Everyone threw down their bikes to the grass except Stanley and Eddie. Eddie tried to throw his bike down but ended up falling onto his ass.

Stanley pulled the stopped down on his bike and helped Eddie up before following the group inside the new kid's house.

Lacey waited at the bottom of the stairs for the two boys and clasped hands with them both. She dragged them into the boy's house.

Richie and Eddie were into their conversation while the others were entranced by the papers on the young boy's bedroom walls.

Beverly walked in the room followed by bill and then Lacey and Stan who were still holding hands.

"And like old guys fucking bones!"

"Oh yeah!"

The two boys shut up as they noticed the room.

"Woah woah woah. Wow!" Richie fixed his glasses and walked over to the wall opposite of the door using a 'swagger walk.'

"Cool huh?" Ben asked proudly.

"No. No, nothing cool." Richie sarcastically spoke.

Lacey rolled her eyes at the trashmouth and then continued looking around the room with Stan by her side.

"Well this is cool. Right here," Rich pointed to something on the wall. "Wait no." Lacey turned her head to look at him as he was staring up at the wall. She admired everyone as they searched around the room.

Her eyes laid on Beverly who was smirking at Lacey. Lacey was confused on why until she saw Beverly's eyes flicker down to Lacey and Stan's hands together.

Lacey let go of his hand and walked over to where Richie was standing and looking at the wall.

Stan couldn't help but feel upset about her letting go. The warmth of Lacey's hand on his was now replaced with cold air. He sighed to himself and looked around the room.

Lacey walked over to Beverly and together the girls examined every paper on their side of the room.

"What's that?" Stanley asked Ben.

"Oh that? That's the charter for Derry township." Lacey turned to him and wondered where he had the idea to do this so called history project of their hometown.

"Nerd alert!" Richie laughed, fixing his glasses. Lacey rolled her eyes and grabbed a pillow off of Ben's bed and threw it at Richie.

She apologized to Ben for messing up his already messy room and he just smiled.

"Actually it's really interesting." Lacey spoke coming to their side.

"Derry started as a beaver trapping camp."

"Still is am I right boys!" The trashmouth raises his hand looking for a high five but only received a punch in the arm by Lacey.

"91 people signed the charter that made Derry, but later that winter they all disappeared without a trace." Ben said sadness in his voice.

"The entire camp?" Ben looked at Eddie.

"There were rumors of Indians right?" Lacey asked from Ben's left.

"Yeah, but there was no sign of an attack." Ben finished.

Lacey nodded and examined a piece of paper in front of her face. A bunch of men were standing in front of a podium and talking to a guy behind it. She studied each and every person until she saw a strange face. It seemed like the person was staring right at her as she stared back. She swore she could've seen the thing's lips rise slowly into a smile but how could that be possible?

"Everyone thought it was a plague or something. But it's like, one day everybody woke up and left. The only clue was a trail of bloody clothes leading to the Well house."

"Jesus, we could get Derry on unsolved mysteries." Richie joked.

A small creak was heard from behind the five kids and Ben and Lacey turned around. Beverly had moved the door to reveal a poster of New Kids on the Block.

Lacey almost laughed. Now she realized why Beverly made a reference to their song. Ben liked the band. Ben turned and looked at Lacey who tried to hide her laughter.

He blushed with embarrassment. "It's okay, I won't tell." Lacey hugged him and turned back to the boys.

"W-Where was the Well House?" Bill asked turning to Ben.

"I don't know, somewhere in town I guess. Why?"

"Nothing." He whispered to himself. Lacey kept her eyes on him trying to figure out what he was thinking. Sadly she didn't have telepathy, otherwise she would've made better decisions in her life than she already had.

"It's getting late. We should go." Lacey said to everyone. Beverly agreed with her and Ben walked everyone outside. Lacey hugged Ben and picked up her bike along with the others.

Beverly waved bye and the boy blushed slightly having a grin on his face.

They each hopped on their bikes and started to make their way home.

Stan and Lacey were the last two going home because Stan insisted on taking her to her house safely.

She hopped off her bike and threw it onto the freshly mowed grass. Lacey walked over to Stan and thanked him.

"No problem. What are friends for?" He have her a small smile which she gladly returned.

"Right, Friends." She had a hint of disappointment in her voice, but not enough for Stan to realize. That or he was completely oblivious to how girls talk.

"I'll see you tomorrow yeah?" He nodded at her and she smiled even wider.

"Good." She hugged him and kissed his cheek.

"See ya Stan the man." She waved to him as she walked up the porch to her front door. She entered and went into her bedroom.

Stanley stood outside of her house for a moment before touching his cheek. She kissed him. Lacey Averman kissed him. It may not have been on the lips but still. He couldn't keep the smile off of his face as he rode all the way home happily.
