Meta Knight's POV:

It is growing late. Everyone is starting to act tired, so I have a feeling that this singing is going to be over soon. Several times, someone has asked Sakura to sing, but she has declined every time. That saddens me, for the last time I saw her, she would have jumped at the opportunity. I wish she would tell me what has happened to her, so I could understand. But I suppose she is just doing the same thing I do: refusing to share anything with anyone, because I do not wish to hurt them.

Finally, an Elf and a Star Warrior volunteer to sing the last song before 'lights out.' As they begin to sing, I immediately recognize it. It is an old song from River Village, the song that the adults always sang whenever anyone went on a long trip or trek. I remember Sakura singing it a few times on our travels around Star World during my training, actually. It was a song she loved to sing.

Settling more comfortable into my place not far from Sakura, I listen as both singers sing the first verse and chorus together:

"Home's full of blue and green, trees and the river and sky. The children lie peacefully in the grass and watch the soft, white clouds float by.

"I'm weary of walking, weary of trekking, weary of being so far away. But there's no rest for my traveler's feet, I'm not going home today."

Sakura suddenly blushes a bright red and gets up, leaving the room quickly. Frowning, I begin to follow her, but decide to be polite and wait until the song is over.

The Elf sings the second verse by himself: "Home is where my love is, she's a pretty girl, 'tis true. Her heart is purer than the finest gold, her eyes are cerulean blue.

"I'm weary of walking, weary of trekking, weary of being so far away. But there's no rest for my traveler's feet, I'm not going home today."

The Star Warrior sings the next verse herself: "Home is where my love is, he's the truest knight I know. His heart is purer than the finest gold, his eyes are pure white like the snow."

Well. That is not the way that verse is supposed to go, not at all. Is that why Sakura left, looking like a Maxim Tomato? A small smile grows on my face. She has never forgotten me, in all the time she has been here, however long it has been.

The two singers sing the final verse together: "Maybe fate will lead me back to the land I call home, but that's not happening anytime soon, for today I'm still doomed to roam.

"I'm weary of walking, weary of trekking, weary of being so far away. But there's no rest for my traveler's feet, I'm not going home today."

As everyone gets up and begins to leave, I walk over to the Star Warrior singer and ask, "Where did you learn that song?"

With an absent-minded grin, she replies, "Oh, Tenshi no Sakura taught it to me years ago."

I thought as much. Turning, I go to find Sakura, then realize I have no idea where to search for her at.

Geo notices my confusion and tells me, "Check the roof. That's where she usually goes when she wants some space."

"But I thought she said the upper floors are not safe," I frown in reply.

Shaking his head with a sigh, he agrees, "They aren't all that safe, she told the truth. She just doesn't care. See if you can get her to come back down."

With a nod and an, "Of course," I go up the stairs to the outside, then cautiously fly up to the roof. The storm has ended, although the occasional raindrop still falls from the sky.
