Our meeting with the Denali’s was productive, but I think everyone wanted more information then was given. Though apparently there was no more. Edward said later that Irina had been hiding something, but he didn’t exactly know what, only that he would be alert to her thoughts more so than usual. I dragged him to a laying position after he, unnecessarily, apologized about Tanya.

“Don’t, she’s right. I’m bringing all of this…trouble back into your family’s life. It’s not fair to you.” I told him, not meeting his eye. He didn’t say anything for a minute, but I could feel his gaze on me. Finally he tipped my chin up to look at him. His eyes were many emotions, all contradicting themselves.

“You are not trouble and you are more worth it to me than anyone else. Our family loves you and will do anything to protect you. The Denali’s are like extended family, and despite the trouble that Laurent and Victoria are bringing to us; they are more than happy to help.” He laughed, “Sometimes it’s nice to have a little fun, especially when you do the same thing every day for eternity.”

His eyes were soft and smothering, staring intently into mine.

“Don’t feel guilty for something that isn’t your fault love.” He whispered before touching his lips to mine. I shook my head a little, but not enough for him to pull away and ask if I wanted this. Though, my pulling closer and grasping his hair tightly didn’t really send him the message to stop.

His hands wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer to his body. Before I was even aware, I was on top of him, straddling his waist. Both of his hands grasped my hips, rubbing up and down the sides of my ribs. I moaned into his mouth at his sensual touch and let the one hand that wasn’t in his hair run down his chest and to his stomach.

“Bella,” Edward warned. I sighed, knowing he was about to stop. I kissed him again and he rolled over so that I was on my back, him hovering over me, holding his weight just enough so that I couldn’t move. My hands caressed his back, making him groan. I looked up to see his eyes closed. His brow furrowed and his shoulders tensing.

“What is it?” I asked. Honey eyes met mine swiftly, soft and melted. I was immediately lost. His breathing matched mine, hard and rugged.

“I can’t Bella,” he whispered, touching his forehead to mine. I bend my knees on either side of him, brushing my thighs against his hips. He groaned again but didn’t move.

“You feel so good Bella; you’re so soft and warm…” His hand caressed my side, running down my hip and up my leg. “But I can’t, I could so easily hurt you.”

I brought my lips back to his, kissing him deeply, putting in every emotion I was feeling. I tugged at the hem of his shirt, pulling it up slightly and touching his icy skin. It wasn’t as cold as usual though, I wondered if it was due to my body temperature. He was soft to, smooth like marble and velvet. His smell was sweet and natural, like his eye color; honey.

Once I got his shirt off, I chucked it to the floor and glided my hands up around the valleys of his chest and stomach. He relaxed under my touch, releasing my lips and kissing down my throat to my clavicle. I moaned again as he reached the edge of my shirt. His hands wandered up my legs and wrapping them around his hips. I locked my feet together and pressed myself against him, easily feeling his arousal. He sucked in a ragged breath and busied himself by playing with my ear and behind it. Kissing tender spots, making me whimper and grind against him.

He moaned this time, quickly putting space between us and pinching the bridge of his nose with his thumb and forefinger. I sighed sat up so I was facing him. I waited for him to look at me, and as the time passed I felt a tingle in my belly. Rejection. No. That is ridiculous, he wants you, obviously, but it’s just…difficult. He thirsts for your blood; I think he has the right to stop. Yes, but…I don’t want him to.
