“I don’t want to let you go love,” Edward whispered against my lips, pressing me into the door to the bedroom.
I chuckled and tightened my hold around his neck, “I just need to change, then I’m all your again.” He groaned, but let me go non-the-less.
“I’ll meet you back here in 10 minutes.” Edward sulked, opening the door. I was going to take a quick shower in Alice’s room, while he took one in our room. Once he left I quickly washed, dried and dressed, 2 minutes to spare. Smiling wide I opened the door to find him waiting. I rolled my eyes at him, which in turn made him grin crooked at me.
“Late lunch?” he asked as we walked down to the lobby. Everyone was convened there, decided evidentially where they wanted to go while they were here. How much could a vampire do in less than one day?
“Sure,” I replied as the elevator doors opened to reveal Alice and Jasper standing in the center of the lobby staring at us. Edward pulled me towards them, ignoring my questioning glance. I thought everyone was going to gather back.
“Everyone was occupied doing something, so Jazz and I thought we would come with you two!” Alice announced, jumping up and down, gathering many by-standers attention. I rolled my eyes, typical Alice behavior.
“Where are we going first?” I asked. Edward looked at Alice with a ‘no arguing’ look.
“Bella needs to eat something.” He told her. Alice rolled her eyes, grabbed Jasper’s hand and walked out of the hotel. I heard Edward sigh before grabbing my hand and pulling me to follow them.
Lunch was a simple matter, a quick stop at Subway, than we were off to sight see, well…actually I wasn’t sure where we were going and nobody was being a big help in explaining. I watched out the window instead, looking at all of the residential houses that passed as Alice drove at a reasonable pace. Edward gripped my hand, holding it tightly and looking out the window on my side as well. I sat in the window seat, but I might as well have been sitting in his lap. He seemed as interested in what we passed as how a kid might look at an amusement park. I wondered if we were in the part of town where he grew up in. I was about to ask when Alice stopped the car and parked of the side of the road.
“It’s over casted enough and long enough for us to walk around.” Alice told us. I exited the car, Edward following. He looked confused, like he should be happy to be here, but was sad at the same time.
“Is this where you grew up?” I asked. He looked down at me with a small smile, nodding.
“That white house on the corner is where I used to live with my parents. Down the street, that way,” he pointed in the opposite direction the car was facing, “is a park. I used to hide out in the woods there all the time.”
“Like the meadow?” I asked. He nodded. The neighborhood looked nice, kids were playing in the street, yells and laughter filled the air. I guess it still was a good block. Edward started walking towards the white house. Whether subconsciously or not, I didn’t know. I followed behind him, not to disturb him in his thoughts.
“No one’s home Alice, can we go inside?” He asked. My jaw fell open. Trespass! He was suggesting breaking in? He chuckled when he saw my reaction. Shaking his head, “We aren’t going to cause any harm. Alice doesn’t see anything happening.”
Walking around the backside of the house, he jumped up and opened a window. We were lucky that the back of the house was concealed by woods. It was old, which you could easily see. Two stories high, a beautifully built house with blue shutters. It needed a paint job. Once he got it to stay open, Edward jumped back down, scooped me in his arms, at which a raised an eyebrow at, and jumped into the room.
