“Please Edward?” I begged, kneeling in front of him while he sat on the couch. A smirk covered his face, his eyes light with humor.
“No.” I groaned at his constant response.
“It’s not fair that you won’t tell me…” I tried pouting again.
“Not until tonight love, I promise…” He trailed off. We had the house to ourselves tonight as the family each wanted to go their separate ways for one evening, getting some alone time.
“Where’s Bree going?” I wondered aloud.
“She will be staying near Carlisle and Esme, but not with them.” He answered. I nodded, curious of the situation still. It was weird, always having someone around, but I knew that it was for a good reason. Bree was a newborn vampire still and was learning. Though her eyes were still more red then gold, she followed and stuck to the vegetarian diet, happier about not killing innocent people. I felt bad about staying in the same room as her whenever there was a family meeting, but Edward assured me that she was getting used to my scent. I didn’t believe him.
I sighed as he pulled me into his lap. It had been about a week since the fight and Alice was still having strange visions of the Volturi, but nothing of them coming here. The strange thing was, is that it wasn’t Aro’s decisions that she saw snippets of. It was Jane’s.
I shuddered at the name and red crimson eyes I had been dreaming of for the last few days. She wouldn’t leave me alone, but I couldn’t figure out what she wanted.
“What is it?” Edward asked, pulling me closer to his body. Even though he whispered, I knew that everyone else could hear our conversation. Esme had told me that she tried to sound-proof the walls as much as possible, but it wasn’t possible to sound-proof vampire hearing. I still had to learn the concept of no privacy.
“I just—Jane. I can’t figure out what she wants. I can’t stop my dreams, but I don’t know what they mean. I’ve told you about them…I talked to Alice…” I sighed, “Nothing.” I could barely put into words how to describe them to Edward once I had woken up crying one evening.
“We’ll figure it out. Alice says the decision becomes stronger each day,” he kissed my fore head, “we just have to wait.”
“I still don’t understand how you can kiss her…even so simply.” Bree’s voice broke our conversation. Her voice was full of amazement and trepidation, but even I could hear the little bit of depression leaking through.
Edward turned his head to glance at her in amusement.
“Easily.” One word melted me. I was still working on a way to ‘dazzle’ him back. I seemed to be getting better at it too.
“Hmm…should I make it…not so easy then?” I asked, trying to sound seductive. I wasn’t sure if it worked, but his eyes shifted to black, showing the raw emotion of love and lust. Edward didn’t answer, but closed his eyes, quickly taking my mouth in his and sucking on my lower lip, his favorite.
I barely heard Bree’s laughter behind us as she walked back up the stairs to give us privacy.
Edward groaned, deepening the kiss and pulling me closer so I was straddling his lap. He moved to my neck, giving me air to breath as I felt the prominent erection tenting his dark jeans.
“Edward…” I groaned, automatically flexing into him, grinding my center to his. The only thing between us was thin denim. A growl escaped from his chest, vibrating his body and making me groan again. I was very wet and I’m sure he could smell my arousal.
“Please?” I asked, continuing my movement against him. He moved slightly, but restrained himself, stopping suddenly at my one word and opening his eyes to reveal his want. I searched his black, onyx eyes, staring into the depth of them, becoming even more aroused at the rawness of want and dominance he held.
