Chapter 1....

"Come on, Rider, don't be a spoiled sport." Jessica screams as she tries and pulls me to the janitor closet. She's such an whore, why can't she just keep her legs closed for once.

"Listen." I say as I push her arms away from me a little violently. "I don't like you and never will, get over it." Everyone around us looks at her and starts to laugh silently.

"Whatever, you'll come back for more." I hear her say as I walk away and head into the cafeteria.

There's honestly something wrong with that girl, she's too full of herself. Everyone knows about how big of an whore she is. Ever since 5th grade she's tried to get with me, I never gave her any attention. I don't throw myself to the wrong crowd.

I walk to the cafeteria, to be honest, I would just fuck off but today I'm just going to chill, I'm too tired to really give a fuck at this point. I walk in and the usual happens, every girls stares at me with those dreamy eyes, I really am not conceited but I'm really good looking, and that comes with consequences, every girl in this damn school wants to jump my bones, when all I want is to be left alone.

"Rider" I turn to the supposedly popular table as I see my best friend James scream for me. I walk over to them, almost everyone turns their head to stare at me as I walk, can I even get some fucking privacy as I walk.

"Bro, you look like someone shoved a carrot up your ass." James says as I take a seat next to him. I just grunt in response. James and I have been friends ever since we were two little cow boys learning to ride pony's.

"Rider Marshall, didn't your mama ever tell you to lighten up boy." Another one of our friends Matt had said while he waved his apple in the air.

"Yes she did, when she was alive." I said coldy only to shut them up which it did. They know not to talk about my parents and most importantly, my mother.

"Sorry." He whispered as he bowed his head, probably from not wanting to meet gazes with my stone cold hard glare.

"Well, better suit yourself up for today's rodeo, gonna be crazy." James said, I would go today but my damn ranch wont do the work itself.

"Can't go, have to work on the ranch." I say ,they know not to push me about leaving work on my ranch.

"I don't have to go either, I can come and help you." James offered but I knew to well that he wanted to go to the rodeo, after all he was his families legacy of great bull riders .

"No, you go on without me, I'll be alright." I say as I push my cowboy hat lower to block the sun. Yes that's right, our cafeteria was outside, that's how we country side people do things around here, sarcasm noted.

"Well, I'll fill ya in on everything that happens." He says. I really didn't want to know about what happens but I wouldn't want to burst his bubble, he seems to happy.

The whole day went by in a flash. As I got home and started working away in the barn cleaning up and feeding the horses. Hunter, my helper usually does everything for me while im at that hell hole known as high school. Thank the heavens above that this was my last year. Being Rider Marshall isn't easy, people want me to live up to my fathers reputation of becoming the sheriff of this town, so I can probably get murdered like how he did by Mexican drug dealers, they all cowered away that day but with his last dying breath, he killed the drug dealers and his name was awarded for bravery. My mother never pushed me to become a police officer like my father, she had always pushed me to becoming things I wanted to become. She taught me to live happy in this world and be nice and caring but that all changed when she died last year of cancer, how could the world expect me to be of peace when my father was taken away from my mother and I when I was only 6 years old and very recently my mother was taken away from me, so if this world has nothing good for me, well then sadly I have nothing good for the world either.

After 5 hours of work I had decided to call it a night, I had a hot steaming shower that relaxed my muscles from a hard days work and didn't even bother about preparing myself a dinner, nights usually went by like this only until my the house phone started to ring. I walked over to it and picked it up.

"Hello?." I answered.

"Hi there Ray." Only one person would ever call me by that nickname and that was my "always happy" aunty cherry. She was always happy and cheerful for some reason. I never complained though, she was one of the only good things in my life.

"Ohh hi aunty cherry, how are you?." I asked trying to sound like my old self that used to be happy and as cheerful as her, I guess she always saw pass my faking of happiness.

"I'm good dear, I was thinking, since your alone-"

"I'm not alone, I have hunter here working at day time." I cut her off.

"Rider Christian Marshall, don't interrupt me when I speak, anyways since your alone and you are always so busy and whatever, I thought I'd hire you a maid, don't worry I'm paying her salary. She's such a doll and she's really nice, she's one year smaller then you so that means you will be great friends with her and you'll have some company around the house, now I would come stay with you myself but you know I have to work." She says in her thick country accent that unfortunately we all have.

"Aunty cherry, I don't need any help, I'm perfectly fine." I thank God for her help but why can't she just let me be alone. Its the way I want it.

"Rider I have already contacted her, she'll be there in 2 days and her Name is Maria Martinez just to let you know, okay dear have a lovely night, love ya." She didn't give me time to protest or even say good bye as she hung up.

Great. Just what I need need, a women in my life.
