Picture of Amberkit up top! Also, Fernkit looks nearly identical :)

Amberkit woke up the next morning to the sound of voices. She blinked open her eyes to see Fidgetfoot, the medicine cat, bent over Frostkit, who was protesting and saying he was fine, only to break off in another bout of coughing. Amberkit watched Fidgetfoot with admiration at how he treated Frostkit. Her ears were pricked and her green eyes were bright as she watched the Medicine Cat examine her sickly brother. She listened closer to Frostkit's coughing and even though she wasn't a medicine cat, she could tell his cough was growing worse. She tried to stay awake to watch what Fidgetfoot would do about Frostkit's cough, but sleep overcame her and she slumped back into the nest and closed her eyes.

Amberkit awoke and found herself standing in the middle of the meadow where she heard about the prophecy. "Ugh, not here again!"

"It's okay this time, I summoned you." A deep voice said behind her.

Amberkit whirled around to see Skystar looking at her with somber deep blue eyes. "Are you going to tell me another prophecy?" She whispered.

"No. But I need to tell you not to feel scared or lonely after what's about to happen. Remember, your future is bright and you need to stay strong."

Already, Skystar was beginning to fade. "Wait!" She cried. "What do you mean?" But the pale gray tom cat was already gone. In his place, a small gray-white cat was growing brighter and starlight was beginning to form around his paws and glisten in his fur. "Frostkit?" Amberkit whispered.

Frostkit dipped his head, "Farewell, my dear sister. May starclan light your path, always."

"Wait!" Amberkit yowled, "Does t-this mean you're d-dead?"

"Yes, Amberkit. I died of greencough. It was my time to die." He said, adding the last part when Amberkit opened her mouth to speak.

Amberkit watched as he padded away after Skystar until she couldn't see him anymore. She crumpled to the ground, whimpering with grief. "Why did you have to take him?" She cried.

"I told you not to let this control you. Don't let the grief take over you." Skystar's voice echoed in Amberkit's mind as she closed her eyes, willing herself to wake up and let this be just a dream.
