The new girl at the sandlot

I was walking home and i was mad. Mad at the world. Mad at Yeah-Yeah. and mad at his little girlfriend. I was thinking and not looking at where i was going and i ran into someone. i immediately said "sorry my bad" when i looked up and saw phillips. He said "i'm so sorry are you okay?" "Yeah, i'm fine and its totally my fault." "well... listen, i know your boyfriends team don't get along that well but do you think we could put that aside and be friends?" "Yeah, we can but, yeah-yeah isn't my boyfriend anymore." i said, looking down, "Oh 'i'm sorry to hear that, do you want me to walk you home?" he asked. "Sure!" I said gladly. We walked home and i told him about yeah- yeah's and my break-up. "This house is mine, thanks for walking me home!" I said " No problem for a pretty girl like you'" he said winking. "wait what?" "oh um nevermind, see you later Annie!" he said quickly as he ran off. I went up to my room and thought about what i was going to do about the team. "he showed me he didn't care so i will show him i don't care" i said confidently to my self. soon after that i fell asleep. I woke up the nest morning and got ready for the sandlot. I wore jean shorts, a white tank top, my white chuck taylors and my baseball cap. When i got there i saw Yeah-yeah and immediately turned the other way. He tried to say something to me but i didn't listen. I decided i wanted to go home so i left without saying anything and nobody stopped me, I ran into phillips again "hey phillips!" "Hey, you don have to call me phillips, you can call me Kamden" "oh okay, i like that name" i said. " thanks, wanna go to my game?" he asked. "sure!" i said. we walked to his game and when i saw who they were laying my heart stopped. I knew the boys hated kamden but what if they found out we were friends?!? "Annie is that you?" Benny said. " you left OUR practice for PHILLIPS?" said Squints. "You guys don't see it do you? you guys don't see how sweet nice and generous Kamden is. You guys don't see it because you're selfish mean jerks." I said obviously mad. "yeah-yeah, their probably doing IT together, i mean Annie would be the type of girl to do that" said yeah-yeah. and with that i took off, or at least i tried to. I felt a hand on my shoulder then i felt a strong pair of lips on mine. I quickly opened my eyes and saw it was Kamden. I kissed back slightly and then let go. both teams sat there wide eyed.
