Chapter 5

The next morning when Yuju woke up, she looked over at the couch where JungKook was sleeping last night.

He was gone.

Yuju quickly sat up.

She was confused.

She got up.

She wandered through the hallways.

Looking for JungKook.

She was so innocent.

Wandering around.

Then she ran into her doctor.

Doctor: What are you doing out of bed?!

Yuju: Where's the guy from last night?!

Doctor: Ah, JungKook?

Yuju: Yeah.

Doctor: He probably went to school.
(He said smiling at her.)
Are you hungry?

Yuju: A little.

Doctor: I'll tell them to bring you some food. In the meantime please wait in your room.

Yuju: Ye. Thank you.
(She said bowing, then walking back to her room.)

Yuju finished eating, and was bored.

She looked out the window.

It was a bright sunny day.

People were walking back and forth, getting on buses.

She also saw cars passing by.

Red, white, black, blue, gray.

All sorts of color.

She thought about yesterday, when JungKook was singing.

She thought to herself, he had a beautiful voice.

Yuju was thinking that maybe JungKook could sing, while she danced.

She smiled just thinking about it.

Her parents and relatives came to visit and went.

Her mother stayed there with her.

It was about time school ended.

JungKook should be here in about 20 minutes.

Yuju thought.

Yuju's mother: Yuju-ah, have some food.

Yuju: Eomma, I'm not hungry.

Yuju's mother: You need to eat a lot.

Yuju: I just ate. I'll eat later.
(She said smiling, trying not to hurt her feelings.)

Yuju's mother: Araso. But please eat something.

Yuju: Don't worry, I will.
(She said smiling while holding her mother's warm hands.)

Her mother smiled back.

Then she noticed her mother with some water in her eyes.

Yuju: Are you okay? What's wrong?
(She asked worried.)

Yuju's mother: I just want you to quickly recover, because I hate seeing you hurt and always laying in a hospital bed.
(She said now crying.)

Yuju started crying too.

Yuju: Have I been here multiple times?
(She asked curious.)

Yuju's mother: We started coming here since you were little. We didn't know what was wrong at the time.

Yuju squeezed her hand gently.

Yuju: I will quickly recover!
(She said determined.)

But Yuju didn't know what she was going through.

Yuju's mother smiled.

Yuju's mother: Ye! Quickly recover, and stop getting hurt! Your father and I are always worried.

Yuju: Eomma, you and Appa shouldn't worry about me anymore. I will not hurt myself anymore!
(She said smiling.)

Her mother smiled back.

JungKook was standing outside the door.

He heard their conversation.

He was smiling, while crying at the same time.

He brought some food from home, since he thought Yuju might have been tired of eating the same hospital food all the time.

He left it on the floor outside her door.

He also left a little note on there too.

"To Yuju. I hope you enjoy the food I brought. I thought you would be tired of eating the same food here. I'm sorry I couldn't stay long, I will come tomorrow for sure! Hwaiting!! :)"

Yuju waited and waited for JungKook to come.

But he never did that night.

Yuju's mother took Yuju's food from earlier and went to warm it up in the microwave.

As she was about to leave, she saw a basket on the floor.

She picked it up, and set it on the table in the room.

Yuju's mother: This is for you. Someone left it outside the door.

Yuju was curious.

She read the note.

Who was this she thought.

Then she thought of JungKook.

It was probably him.

She smiled, and started eating the food.

It was delicious.
