ANTHONY'S P.O.V.
It's Saturday now. My parents should be back today! Their flight was delayed a while ago because of the heavy snow. Then they got an offer. I get ready and throw on my coat. My phone buzzed inside of my pocket right as I was walking outside. Quickly, I pick it up and answer it. "Hello?" "Hi sweetie!" My mother's joyful voice rings. "I'm coming to the airport right now," I told her about to hang up but then she said "That's why I called you...we aren't coming home for another year-" "What?!" I exclaim into the phone. "The offer we got earlier...they misspoke. They didn't mean a few more months. They ment a few more months and one year," "A-alright..." My voice was shaking. "I love you...goodbye," She told me before hanging up. I put my phone into my pocket, with my breath shaking. After a moment or two, I started walking back inside, kicking the rock in front of me. A whole year. My parents, completely gone. My old friends use to tell me to throw a party at my house but I never did. As if my parents were to come home any minute. But they never did. I take off my shoes and coat and then sit on the couch. I need someone with me....Ian...Maybe he can take my mind off of it. I take out my phone again and dial Ian's number.

The cars go by me as I walk along the sidewalk of the city. I've always wanted to go to New York. I'm finally here. Big lights, people buzzing by...wait...buzzing? The city starts to vibrate, I can't keep my balance! I fall down onto the sidewalk, and slowly sink down...
My eyes quickly open. It was just a dream...whats that vibrating? I look over to the table to see my phone buzzing away. Who would call at 6:46 a.m. on a Saturday? I pick up my phone "Hello...?" I say into the phone groggily. "Hi!" A cheery Anthony answers "Sorry did I wake you up?" He asks me "No...well yeah, but don't worry about it," I reply, smiling to myself. It's weird...even if we're just talking on the phone, Anthony puts me in a good mood. "I was wondering...if you're not too tired that is...if you wanted to come over today?" My smile turned into a wide grin. "Sure! I'll be over in an hour?" "Fine by me, see you then!" With those words, Anthony hung up. I sat up on my bed and stretched.
-AFTER GETTING DRESSED AND WALKING TO ANTHONY'S HOUSE-
I knocked on the door. A moment or two later, Anthony opened the door. "Hi!" He greeted me. "Hey!" I said back. Anthony stepped aside so I could walk in, he closed the door behind me. Anthony had a half smile on his face, wait...I know that face! Something's bothering him. "Do you have anything on your mind?" I ask. Anthony shakes his head 'no'. "Come on, Anthony. I know that face, what's wrong?" I question, sympathetically. I take his hands in mine and swing them a little.

I look down at the floor. "If you don't want to tell me that's fine...but I'll always be here for you...you know that right?" Ian says. He's so understanding. It's actually incredible. "And I'll always be here for you," I say with a sincere smile. Ian nods and goes on his tippy toes to kiss my forehead. Our height difference is something I'm going to have to get use to. My smile grows wider and Ian goes back to his normal stance. "So...what do you want to do?" I ask. "We could...go ice skating, umm," Ian tried to think of another suggestion but couldn't. He didn't need to though, ice skating sounded great! "Ice skating sounds amazing! Let's go!"

At that moment, my phone buzzed inside of my pocket. I got it out of my pocket while Anthony was going to get his gloves and hat. It read: Monday 12:45. Expect me. Someone didn't listen. ...What? I don't understand. I guess I'll see what happens...
