Runaway Thoughts

Garnet

It's been two weeks since Emerald ran away. The only part I remembered was both looking at the moon and Em saying, "I'm sorry," to her into my mind.

I replied by whispering, " You only did what you had to do to survive."The separation was tearing me apart, tears filled my already wet face. With a swipe of my hand I flung my tears away from me, towards the wind.Nobody can see me cry, I have to stay strong for everyone,for myself. The beauty of the trees blowing in the breeze clouding in my mind. The vibrant colors can't be seen through my eyes,anymore not when I'm miserable, not when my best friend and sister since birth is gone.

I then came inside from the cold and drug myself to our room. Half of it was full of photographs,memories, and a desk full of blank canvases with paint brushes and paints all over the place, my side. Usually there's a new piece put on the already colorful walls, but nothing has been added since Emerald left.While on the other side had been decorated in more of an ordinary fashion, with a desk in the corner,multiple bookshelves, and a bed bathed in a sea of green Everything was in it's rightful place. As I observed the room I thought, "Why did she leave me?"and, "Why didn't she take me with her?"

I then grabbed my biggest bag, which happened to be my sketching bag, dumped all over my belongings onto my red stained bed.I then packed all my necessities, a few pairs of clothes,brush,toothbrush and toothpaste,et cetera and I was all set other than some food. I then sprinted into the kitchen and swung open the cabinets, taking any and all food I could without getting caught. Tonight. Tonight was the night I was going to leave my home and find my sister. All I had to do was find out how to get to her.
