"Are you letting us go?" Emerald asked, as I came up out of the ground with tears running down my already puffy face.

"Yes, I might as well. It's nice to see how grown up you guys are."

"Thank you.....dad." Emerald said tears trying to break away, but she wiped them off before he could notice. When I looked at our father again, he was doing the same thing as Emerald, trying not to cry a river.

"No problem kiddo. Why don't I drop you guys off at your house?"

Sure. Both Emerald and I said.

"Have you guys heard of ice cream?" He asked

"What's that?" I asked. Both me and my sister giving him a strange look.

"That's for me to know, and for you to find out." He smiled, in fact it was the same smile both my sister and I had. As we smiled with him, we walked to his truck.

When we got home, there were a lot, and I mean a LOT of hugs. Enough to drown out an entire population. When the house calms down I ask mom, "Why didn't you tell us he was our dad?"

"I didn't think you were ready yet." I gave her a look. " Fine I didn't think I was ready yet." She replied instead.

Later after dinner Emerald and I went to our room. Until our next adventure. Emerald thought before passing out.

Until next time I repeated before doing the same.
