After a little bit of silence I gave the fake being sick a try, "H...hey, I....I don't feel so good." As she hunches over and gags herself.

"What do ya mean?" one of the guys asked.

"You need to pull over! She gets car sick really easily. And if you don't want puke all over this van then you might want to pull over immediately!" Emerald exclaimed, closing in on me, seeing if I was okay.

"Pull over now!" The lady exclaimed, "This is a rental." The car jerked forward, leading Emerald and I to veer to the front. At that point I wasn't faking it, reaching out and grabbing the handle I ran outside and hunched over. Then, trying not to fall back over I ran, Emerald soon following after me.

Where do we go now? I asked.

Now we leave. She answered confidently. And with that we both walked into the woods. I took off my bag and grabbed a folded map from inside the front pocket.Great, we were about three days away from the wall. So while we walked, we talked. About what had happened during her time gone and other things, whatever really. As we walked in silence for a few minutes I tried to think of my favorite memories, most of them with Emerald. Like the time we won the science fair in 3rd grade, we made a volcano that exploded tomato sauce all over the judges. And what about the time we slept over at Valerie's house and a mouse found it's way into her bed! You were the only one that was calm the whole time. She smiled.

Yeah, even when her mom came in she ran right out. I interrupted.

You walked right up to it with a small piece of cheese, the mouse came right up to you. It even jumped into your hand. We all buzzed with shock. I don't think we stayed at her house ever again.

Well actually I don't even think we stayed the rest of the night. We laughed, all the tension leaving our bodies. At least until we heard a slight sound, like a gunshot firing. We've heard the firing a lot since the war happened.
