CH 65: Home

PHANA'S POV

Alpha Panitchayasawad opens the door for me so I can exit the room. He squats beside my wolf form but still has to raise his voice to be heard over the snarls and howls of triumph coming from behind me. "Son, the bathroom is over there. Do you need to see a doctor about the bite?"

The bite? What bite? Ah, where Park bit me. I try to turn my head to look at it, but he moves my head out of the way so he can take look for himself. "It isn't deep and it seems like it's already healing well." He breathes a sigh of relief. "Why don't you go ahead and get cleaned up? I'll bring your clothes to you in a few minutes."

Nodding, I turn away from him heading towards the bathroom. Once inside, I shift and stare at myself in the mirror before moving into the shower. Rinsing off, I dress faster than normal since I know my friends will probably need to get cleaned up before we leave here too.

As I exit the bathroom, Forth and Beam almost knock me down as they race past Kit and Ming to beat them to the waiting shower. Ming chuffs out a laugh and Kit huffs in irritation before they both lay down outside the door to wait their turn.

Seeing Yo's dad, Tasha, and Yut talking outside of the two rooms holding the men who helped Park, I walk towards them.

"... take care of them. I don't want any loose ends. I need this finished today."

"Yes, of course, old friend. I understand. You can rely on me to finish everything cleanly."

"Thank you, Ai'Yut." They, all three, turn to me as I walk up.

"Is there anything else we need to do before we leave? I'd like to see my mate soon."

"No, son. Kit and Ming will be going back with Forth and Beam so we can leave if you're ready."

Glancing through the glass at the men in the two rooms, I ask, "What about them?"

Yo's dad begins steering me out of the building as he answers, "Don't worry about anything more, you've done your part. Yut is very capable and will take care of everything else. Now, let's get back to your dorm. I want to see Wayo and Kamon." I'm too tired to care, so I just nod my head in agreement.

As I'm following the Alpha into the car, Tasha stops me with a hand on my arm. I look down at her, and she rises up on her tip toes to give me a quick kiss on the cheek. "I know you have mixed feeling about what you did today, but I want you to understand that it had to happen." She sighs and continues, "You will have to make hard decisions as an Alpha, and now we all know you can do that. I was very impressed with you today, future Alpha."

After having her say, she quickly climbs into the car, leaving me a little stunned as her feelings of approval and gratitude wash over me.

Just as Yo's father said they would, pack members arrive early Monday morning to start packing our things. Not only for me and Yo, but for Ming and Kit too. As the four of us leave our dorms, we only carry small duffle bags with us.

Standing together in front of the building, we look at the site where so much in our lives changed over the last five months.

"Well, I won't miss this place. The dorm rooms I picked out for us for next semester are much larger couple dorms. They even have kitchens, so we don't have to eat out all the time." Ming says as he stands with his arm around Kit's waist.

"Good. Now that I know my mate can cook, I'm going to make him feed me homemade meals every day." I say as I hold Yo in front of me with my arms wrapped around him.
