As soon as I put my dress on I got nervous. The lady had trouble fixing my hair brigade of its length. I ended up with many strands of loose curls hanging down from a long braid.

I grinned walking down the isle while Alec looked like he would throw up

I grinned walking down the isle while Alec looked like he would throw up. The music was "beautiful in white" which was ironic since shadowhunters wore gold to weddings. My dress had white and gold so I guess the song worked. It reminded me too much of a song Eugene would play. In fact, walking down an isle reminded me too much of my wedding. I didn't see Eugene at the end of the isle.

I remember how he said "see I love you, I'm wearing an itchy monkey suit for you, now if that doesn't prove my love I don't know what does."

"What about a ring?" I replied. Amusement dancing in my eyes.

"Oh, I got that to," he replied with a smirk as he held the gold band.

My only bridesmaid was Isabelle. I wish Harley was up there grinning like crazy and Ianthe, hoping we got flowers and flirting with all the groomsmen. But they were missing my wedding.
I don't drop the plastered smile until I get to the altar.

   "I can't breathe," Alec mutters.

  "It's  ok, I can't either,"

Then Magnus burst into the room. He just looked at Alec. Alec couldn't look away from him. Magnus couldn't let Alec marry me brocade there was no love. And with Magnus, Alec would have love.

"Hey," I say getting Alec's attention back to me " it's ok, you don't have to explain, just go be happy." I tell him.

"I'm so sorry Lydia," he mumbles.

"I'll be fine," I tell him as he goes to Magnus. Alec doesn't understand that I'm relieved this wedding is over as much as he is.

I waited at the Institute until the crowd died down. I was getting ready  to congratulate Alec and Magnus.

"You failed me," I look behind me and see Amanda Waller.

  "How'd you get in here?"

"It doesn't matter, I have my resources, but I don't put up with failures," she grasps a seraph blade off the wall. I don't remember what happened but I just remember the pain and the feel of blood seeping out and the voice "who's there?!"
Waller disappeared and then everything went black.
