**One Day Before The First Day Of School**
*Zoe and I have pulled out all the contents of my closet*
"You're unbelievable, Cam! How can you not own a single clothing item that's on the feminine side. A guy is never going to be impressed if you keep wearing sweatshirts and jeans." Zoe complained.
"I don't care, Zo. I don't want to impress someone by being somebody else. I want that person to know and love the real me." I reasoned.
"Borrring. That's you. But just saying, what if that guy is the Dylan Preston? Do you still don't care ?"
Dylan. Dylan. Dylan. There we go!
"Okay, you got me." I say accepting my defeat.
I throws her fist in the air in victory and then helps me put together an amazing outfit that is just right enough. Oh how I love my bestie.
(Not being sarcastic)

**First Day Of The School**
*The Lunch Bell rings and the school heads towards the cafeteria**
Our school cafeteria is a place of great diversity. I don't actually believe in all the popularity drama but it's a known fact here that a nerd (that's me) can't sit with a cool guy (that's Dylan Preston).
Which is why I head straight towards my usual table, where I spot Isaac and Jeremy pointing at a place in a huge fat atlas, Clinton engrossed in solving the Rubik's cube and Katherine, with her head buried in a thick Shakespeare novel that she was reading.
Zoe is not a nerd, and neither is she un-cool or un- popular but she still hangs out with us and sits at our table because:
1) We are best friends. (She and I)
2) She thinks that Clinton is cute. Actually, she has a huge crush on him but she doesn't confess her opinions about him. Sadly, it's a one-sided love affair. He says he's too busy to be in love. Poor Zo!
3) She makes Katherine do her homework for her.
I see Zoe frantically waving her arms at me.
"Hey sista' !" She slings an arm around me and we walk towards the girls' restroom.
"OMG, Did you see Isaac?" She asks me widening her big baby blue eyes. Drama queen.
"Of course I did. What's wrong with him?"
"Exactly. What on earth is going on around him."
I shoot her a puzzled look.
She continues. "Has he undergone a plastic surgery or something?"
I burst out laughing.
"Why, no!"
She rolls her eyes at me. "Just look at him, Cam. He looks drop dead sexy."
"I don't know about that, Zo."
She rolled her eyes at me again. "Can't you see he's got a thing for you"
I start laughing again. "Well, you know very well who I like."
"Of course, but just saying Isaac is better than Dylan."
I blush at the mention of his name. "I can't help it, Zo. I'm already in love!" I make a gesture pointing at my heart in a dramatic manner.
She rolls her eyes at me once again. I don't know how that girl manages to do it so often.

**We sit around at our lunch table**
"There he is, your lover boy" Zoe whispers to me.
"My who?" I ask.
But I soon get the answer to my question as I see Dylan walking towards the other table, laughing and cheering, turning heads with his cute smile and boyish charm, with his football team around him.
Why does he have to be so popular? And why do I have to be such a nerd?
Life is so unfair!

**During the English Literature Class**
"....and so you have to pick your partner for the same. To avoid the chaos, let's keep it simple, the person sitting right next to you will be your partner for the next three weeks." Announces our teacher.
I turned my head to see who it was, and froze in my seat.
It was a gorgeous guy with lustrous blonde hair, Azure blue eyes, those deep pink lips, and that cute smirk *goose-bumps* Oh no, here I go again. In short, it was Mr. Popular Bad Boy. Ah Dylan, you have no idea what you do to me.
I notice his muscles visible from the black button-down shirt and the pair of dark-washed denims that he's wearing.
"Done checking me out?" He smirks.
"Yeah, right...you wish"
"Hey, hey...someone's feisty..."
"Hey, hey...someone's a judgemental self-obsessed detrimental over-confident idiotic beast"
Whoa, wherever that came from. Way to go, girl! I mentally pat myself.
He rolls his eyes. Douche! Good lord, I'm stuck with him for three long long weeks.
The sound of the bell ringing interrupts my thoughts.
"I'll come over at your house today. We'll talk about our project then." He smirked.
Wait, he didn't even ask. He frikkin' commanded or should I say asserted.
"But you don't even know where I live..." I started to say to he had already left to hear me.
Douche, douche, douche!
