Korinna's Point Of View
I smile at my father who is beaming at his gorgeous grandchildren. Since I have a son, my line will rule the throne and I will be crowned the primary Queen of All Werewolves at the coronation. The same ceremony, Brandon Nicolas Carter will be baptised and crowned as the Prince Heir and my daughter, Brookelynn Grace Carter will be titled as a Princess.
"His eyes . . . They're gold." I gasp finally looking down to see what everyone is gaping at. True enough Brandon has gold eyes.
"Brookelynn has purple eyes. What could this possibly mean?" Andrea asks.
"Oh, Korinna! I'm guessing that this is your mate?" Laura asks thoroughly thrilled. I nod smiling more.
"Laura, focus." My father says as Laura playfully glares at him.
"His golden eyes means that he is a pure werewolf. Not diluted. They're actually quite common unlike Brookelynn's purple eyes. That symbolizes that she's part witch. Meaning, she inherited most of your witch blood and mine along with whoever the father was. The dominant wolf gene must have been more prominent in the father as well since Brandon is a pure werewolf." He explains. I look down at my son and smile looking into his golden eyes. His hair the same color as his eyes. Brookelynn looks more like me with my dark hair and fair complexion.
"Will this put them in more danger besides just being Royal and the Crown Royal?" Andrea asks softly.
"Yes, sadly. Brookelynn and Brandon will likely become enemies later on as they come of age and into their abilities." Laura warns darkly.
Andrea and I look at each other and sigh. "Dad, can you seal away Brookelynn's abilities away until she can learn to master them?" I ask as Brooke begins to cry.
"Kori, I don't know if that's such a good idea. That could backfire as easily as it could work." He says gently.
"But you just said that it could work. So, can we at least try?" I insist. He sighs hesitant to do as I ask before he pulls out a pendant. I gasp recognizing it from an image of my birth mother, Abitha, that he'd held on to in his office.
"I already enchanted it once for your mother. When she left me, she left the pendant. Her abilities were so unstable for the longest time after she took it off, just so you are aware of the possible consequences of blocking that much power at once and not releasing it." He says. I smile as it glows around Brooke's neck and her eyes flash and turn into an off blue color instead of purple.
"Thank you. Now, it will be easier to hide her if we need to. Brandon will be the best warrior ever and will defend his sister always." I coo looking at my two beautiful babies before yawning. The excitement and adrenaline from being with my family and children wears off and exhaustion causes black spots in my vision. The nurses take the babies to be cleaned and dressed before they would return them to my room. I succumb to sleep as my father kisses my forehead.
