Ella POV
This is shit.
"Mum, why didn't you tell me?" I looked at her in accusation.
I really did not want to see them. Call me a selfish brat but my mum chose them over me. They got picked over me by my own mother who gave birth to me, how exactly can I not?
"Because I know you'll just ask me to collect it and return it to you."
"What is so wrong about that?"
"I want you to meet them, alright? I wanted to show you that they're not that bad," I huffed in frustration at her words and took out his phone, handing it to mum. She still doesn't get it.
"Here, just ask that guy to return back my phone and give me his phone. The faster I get it, the faster I leave, the better." I gave her a straight face.
"Jisong-"
"Aniyo, please. Just not today, we just had a fight yesterday and I don't want to have another one now. I've got no mood now to meet them." She kept quiet, the frown etched on her face. "Please?" I asked her silently. I really don't have the mood now. She lied to me.
She sighed and looked at me before nodding. "His door is two doors beside that toilet," she said, disappointment in her voice as she points to a toilet.
"Thanks mum," I know I'm making her disappointed but I really do not want to see them. I'm still not ready to digest that fact. I just moved here a few days ago and nothing is going the right way.
I walked over to the door silently, the phone in my hand. I stopped in front of the door. Am I supposed to knock? But it's rude not to knock... Yeah, I should probably knock. I knocked the door twice but heard nothing from the opposite. Curious, I place my hand on the handle and twisted it. It wasn't locked.
Peeking into the room, I saw a neatly made bed and another that looked like it had someone in it - probably still asleep, maybe I should just leave. This is getting ridiculous. What am I doing here? Maybe I should just go.
Just as I was about to leave, a man's voice sounded from behind me, "What are you doing?"
"Oh gosh, don't scare me like that!" I shrieked and looked at him as though I had seen a ghost. A guy - only wearing jeans and wiping his hair with a towel. I gulped. No, Ella, keep your eyes on his face, hormones, stop acting up. Now isn't the best time. "Uhm, phone?"
I facepalmed. Did I really just said that?
"What?" He looked at me confused and suddenly laughed at my bewildered face.
I held up the phone that was in my left hand. Hold up, he looks familiar. "Did you probably bump into someone last night?" I looked at his face again. I was dark last night and the guy was using sunglasses. But I'm sure...
His eyes linger at the phone and my face before rubbing the back of his neck and snapped his fingers. Without warning, he nudged me into the room and I stood awkwardly as he rummaged for something in a bag. Recognizing the device he was holding, I sighed in relief. "This is yours?"
Ah, it was him. "Yep. Sorry about it, I couldn't see so well." I laughed awkwardly and silence followed it.
"You don't mind if I had charged your phone last night, right? Cos I was kinda anxious and looked through your phone to see how you looked like - uhm, jaesonghamida." He suddenly bows ninety degrees at me and gave an innocent baby smile. I smile to myself unknowingly, he's cute, like an innocent angelic boy.
Woah, what am I saying?
"Oh it's alright. Uhm, sorry too, I went through your phone, don't worry, I charged it." We exchanged phones and another silence filled the air. "Er, I'll just be going now..."
