Ella POV

I zoned out the voice of Mrs Hwi, my Literature teacher. She was explaining to the class about author's technique, and honestly, I couldn't care less. I've sat through more than enough lessons on author's technique.

I fiddled with my pen and began to doodle on the writing pad.

I remember my Literature class back in LA. My best friends, Sasha and River, and I were the ones who would always get scolded for bickering. We were unstoppable and Mrs Zee would always punish River because he's the loudest. That boy never fail to disturb us and on some occasions, make us laugh till it hurts. I don't think Mrs Zee likes us too much.

Writing their names on the writing pad, I smiled to myself.

I miss those idiots.

Joining us three would be Jase, Jaselle and Kiko. Sasha is the girl out of the girls. Well, Jaselle, Kiko and I aren't boys or anything but Sasha is the one that fangirls over shoes and fusses over chipped nail polish or something. She's blonde but doesn't suit the saying 'dumb blonde' at all. She's smart actually, too smart.

River is the resident troublemaker and the flirt. With charming blue eyes and brown hair, he sure did made good use of his looks. There's not one girl in the school he hasn't hit on yet. He flirted with me before, but I owned him - bad - and that's the beginning of our friendship. He's too noisy for his own good but can be a really good friend when you need him.

Jase and Jaselle are twins. Both dirty blondes - though Jase's hair is turning brown. They share the same pair of eyes that changes colour from blue to gray every once in a while and the talent of music. Jase plays the guitar or bass while Jaselle plays the keyboard or piano. But their personalities are contradicting. Jase is loud - him and River are partners in crime and the best of friends. Jaselle is quiet and mature and well, the mother of us.

Kiko is a Japanese girl who came to move in with her grandparents when she turned 10 after her parents had passed away. Her mother passed away while giving birth and her father died because of heart failure. Her life has always been going up and down and she's really strong. Both physically and emotionally. She's a black belt in Karate, so mess with her and return home with a black eye.

Than there's me. The girl with boring black hair and brown eyes. Kiko has the same traits, except her eyes were bigger and hazel and her hair is straight unlike my wavy one.

"Class attention." The chair from beside me squeaked noisily. "Thank you teacher." He bowed. "Class bow."

I automatically bowed.

And can you believe it? Baekhyun is the class president. Like who in the right mind would elect him as class prez?

The bell rung and I sigh in relief, placing my head on the table. "Ya, Song-ie," I put my head up and glared at the idiot beside me, "It's lunch. Go eat." I gave him one more look and buried my face in my sleeve.

"I don't feel like eating." Actually, I'm really hungry but it'll be weird if I eat alone.

Just on track, my stomach growled.

"Totally." He flicked my head and I glared at him again.

"Can Jisong eat with us?" Chanyeol piped up cheerfully.

"Call me Ella." I muttered.

"But Baek can call you Song!" He argued childishly.

Wait he did? "From now on, he isn't allowed to."

"Uh, yes I can." Baek pinched my cheek and I smacked his hand away.

"No, you can't." I smack the back of his head.
