Jo worked on a plan.
Her plan would use every day of the ten remaining years where her eccentric uncle would rule the kingdom, waiting for Jo to become,of age so the terrible, evil man could begin his reign.
Her plan was crazy.
But it could work.
See, it wasn't until she had gotten back to the castle that night that she realized something.
Had she not ran away, she would have been with her parents, going to the market.
But she wasn't.
Had she not run away, she would have been there when beads of sweat formed on a poor man's forehead as he tightened his grip on the wooden revolver that would be the death of her parents.
But she wasn't.
Had she not run away, when the man reached across, his waist to pull the gun, and when the bullets started flying, one of the would have hit her. But it didn't.
Had she not run away, she would be dead.
But she wasn't.
Her impulses saved her life.
So, maybe, this impulse just might work.
She threw off her covers and opened her window. She whistled out. A small fairy came fluttering up. "Rhododendron," Jo whispered. "I need your help. Rhododendron smiled. "Of course, dear Jo"
They spent the whole night planning on how Jo couldget out of the marriage, without being thrown in the streets.

Jo woke up to a gentle tap on her shoulder. "Jo," Rhododendron said,in a singsong voice, "It's time for breakfast, I must go" her voice was raspy, but still soft. Jo threw on her cardigan and blew Rhododendron a kiss of thanks, before heading down to breakfast.

Okay, kind of a filler chapter/ character introduction. I felt it to be necessary.
What do you guys think of Rhododendron? What do you think her intentions are?
I'm considering writing a d&p fic, I know I'm not an amazing writer or anything, but..
Anyway, have a great day! 💝
