she grew up with one objective.

a/n fast forward a couple years.
Constantine and Jo are now best friends and spend their time watching movies and, of course, searching for a loophole
Whoops, more notes! Some background, and a flashback from Jo!
Jo was born into the royalty, yet she never felt like it was for her. She also did not feel that cliché tomboy thing. She was feminine, but not fancy.
Her uncle essentially raised her, and her uncle was as eccentric to the family as Jo was. In reality, they were quite normal.
In the country they lived in called Matthegrasson, there were mythical creatures, yet it was treated pretty mundane.
Fairies and nymphs were seen as a nuisance, and could only be heard in quiet with a careful ear.
Dragons could not breathe fire, and were, for the most part, only seen in zoos.
Animals couldn't talk, with the exception of ball pythons, and, again, could only be heard in silence.

It was all disregarded, like perhaps the miracle of a parrot or dragonfly would be. It was thought as normal, except for to Jo and Constantine. When they weren't working hard, they were talking with fairies and marveling at the wonders of the earth.

They mostly worked hard.

They would often go to the library or courthouse to work, but one they turned 11 and could go off on their own, things changed.

They didn't run away, but they spent more time out of their home than in it.

Jo is asexual and Constantine was gay; but stereotypes did not apply.

Constantine was a powerful soldier by the age of ten, and Jo the same, except for the fact that she had a dress on and flowers in her hair.

End of A/N.

Wind. Air. Fresh, fresh air.

They one day her parents managed to take her out themselves, they complained about the windy day.

Jo didn't mind. She loved how fresh the air tasted once they got a few miles away from the castle.

Her parents constant bickering and complaining bothered her, though.

Her heart dropped.

Everything went blacker than the night.

She dropped.

She didn't remember anything when she woke up, but her uncle was my her side and her parents were fighting in the corner of the beige-painted room Jo recognized as the hospitality room in the castle.

Before she or anyone could speak, she remembered something.

Not much, mostly muscle memory, she remembered getting out of the car and then-

Spasm, is the best way to describe it.

Jo reached up to her face, feeling a gash about four centimetres long.

Seeing her uncles eyes, and his mouth moving, she realized she had zoned out.

She also realized what had happened.

Her uncles eyes looked sad, and she knew why.

She once had an aunt, who fell the same way.

But she once fell when up on the roof.

Jo doesn't have an aunt anymore.

She just had a sad uncle and what she now realizes were grand mal seizures.

Jo opened her eyes. She often had flashbacks to that day, the day of her first seizure when she was 4. She turned over and cried into her pillow.

A/N Hang in there. More action in next chaoter. Sorry it took so long to update.
