Chapter 6

They both worked until 9. Which is the end of their shift. They walked out of the store laughing with each other. AJ looked like he was really tired. 

"I'm guessing those energy drinks and cups of coffee are wearing off," Star said laughing.

"Yeah... apparently," AJ laughed tiredly.

Star looked around not seeing Sammi's car, but then she spotted Andy's car. A smile lit up her face.

AJ noticed her expression," What are you so happy about?" 

Star looked at him, and pointed," My rides here." 

AJ looked up. He saw Andy starring at them both. To AJ he looke dlike he was not happy at all.

"Um... Star who's that picking you up?" 

Star frowned at the question and expression on his face. "He's my friend, why?" 

"Oh um, no reason... just wondering. Well, I'll see you tomorrow at work. You've got my number, right?"

Star smiled and nodded," Yup. See you later." 

AJ waved and started walking to his car," See you." 

Star heading towards Andy's car, and walked around getting into the passenger side.

"Hey! I thought Sammi was going to pick me up," she said laughing.

Andy started the car, and pulled out of the parking lot. "Nope. It's me," he said.

Star noticed a tone in his voice," Andy, is there something wrong?"

Andy glanced over at her then back at the road," No, nothings wrong." 

"Andy, you can tell me," Star said.

He glanced back at her again," I know, Star. I know."

There was a uncomfrotable silence between them. Then Andy spoke up," So... who was that guy that you came out with?"

"Um... that was AJ..." 

Andy nodded," Oh okay..." 

"Is there something wrong?" Star asked.

Andy glanced at her again," Oh no I was just wondering..."

"Andy, please talk to me," Star said. The way he was talking to her made her sad and worried that he was mad at her. 

Andy, of course, was not mad at Star. To be honest, he was jealous of AJ. He did not want Star being with anyone else but him, but he knew that was just being selfish. He knew she had her own life. He had to be there for her through everything. That was the only way they could be together any at all. 

"Everything is fine, Star. Honest," Andy said smiling to reassure her. 

She sighed," Okay... "
