Chapter Nine

*Angel's POV*

Me and Lance were sitting in the noisy cafeteria, students chattering, gossiping, etc., I took a macaroni and cheese, a sandwhich and grape juice while Lance, on the other hand, had beef burger, french fries, pepsi, and 2 pieces of brownies.

I was now holding my spoon, scooping a good amount and shoving it in my mouth, but of course I still had the poise. Mmm.. cheesy goodness..

"That hungry, cutie?" Lance asked, smiling cutely and taking a frech fry in his sexy mouth..I mean, mouth.

"Not really.. but this macaroni and cheese is the best." I moaned, tasting the cheesy goodness melting in my mouth.

Dang, I never knew cafeteria food would taste great sometimes.

"Well, what do you know... You eat so much." Lance chuckled, taking a tissue and wiping it across my mouth.

Crap, he's such a sweetie! I might be the one melting now, instead of the cheese..

"Puh-lease! Says the guy who got so much carbs in his food." I said, rolling my eyes playfully and smiled.

He raised an eyebrow, chuckled and said, "This body," he pointed to his abs, "needs to be maintained. So, yeah babe."

Babe... Gahhh, he called me babe!

"So.. what are we?" He blurted out, quickly covering his mouth and had a pink tint was starting to appear on his cheeks.

What are we? Yeah, I don't even know if we're together or not.

"I-I don't know.." I stuttered, playing with the tip of my hair. I tried avoiding his stare by looking down on my now empty plate of macaroni and cheese. I was now playing with the left over sauce with my spoon.

"I'm not ready yet.. Maybe we could stay as MU (Mutual Understanding) for awhile before we become together.. What do ku think?" I suggested, nervous for his answer.

"Yeah, you're right. This is all too fast. I'll wait for you." He said, smiling.

Oh my gosh, he's willing to wait for me! Gahh, my insides were screaming already.

*A week later*

The past few weeks were great. Lance was great and I could almost say that everything was perfect.

I was now sitting down on the park bench in our school campus. Soft breeze was hitting my face softly, making me calm and refreshed. Class doesn't start til 2 and a half hours.

"Hey beautiful," A husky voice said behind me.

"Why you alone here?"

I turned around to see a handsome Lance wearing a striped fitted shirt that hugged his body perfectly..almost his abs visible.

"Nothing. Just figured that I need some peace and quiet." I replied, with a smile.

"Oh, am I disturbing?" He asked, but sitted beside my anyway.

"No you're not." I said, kissing his cheek.

Even if we weren't together, we acted like an actual couple. We haven't exactly kissed on the lips yet.. and he respected that. He would either kiss my cheeks, forehead, hand, near the lips, and my neck.

"Good. You're so beautiful, you know." He said, kissing the top of my hand.

My cheeks were turning red, and I just gave him a cheeky smile.

"Thank you." I muttered shyly, and covered my face with my hair.

"Wanna go buy something? Let's go to the newly opened shop near here. My treat, babe." Lance said, standing up and helped me put my stuffs in my bag.
