Vanessa P.O.V.

~ "Best friends, you are my fucking best friends.

Yo honestly, this is the best night ever." ~

"SHUT UP!" I groaned as I tried to turn off my alarm, when I realized that my dog Pancake was above me licking my face. "PANCAKE, GET THE HELL OUT OF ME!" I yelled at him to make him stop, and attempted to push him away.

When I successfully pushed him off me, I got out of bed and went to the bathroom to take a shower. When I was done, I dressed up and went downstairs to eat my breakfast, while my mum was picking up the car from the garage to take me to another day of boring school.

When I finished my breakfast and brushed my teeth, I went to my room to get my backpack and went back downstairs, heading to the front door, ready to leave and go to school. I locked the front door and saw my mum waiting for me in the car. When I entered the car she asked if I didn’t forget anything and once I said I had everything, she started driving to school.

As soon as we got to school and I exited the car, I saw my two best friends, Ana and Alexa, waiting for me at the school gates, which is weird since Alexa is always late for school.

"Hi girls." I saluted when I got near them.

"Morning." Alexa and Ana greeted back.

“Let’s get going? The bell is about to ring and I still need to go to my locker to get the books.” Alexa informed us and we nodded without questioning since this happens every day because she is too lazy to take home her books and study.

As we were almost at Alexa’s locker, I grabbed her arm to make her slow down, letting Ana walk ahead of us, and got closer to her and whispered in her ear. "Is everything okay about that thing?"

"Yeah, everything’s fine." She whispered back with a roll of eyes, and I decided I would ask again later since she is always grumpy in the morning and obviously won’t tell me anything. When we finally got to her locker, she picked up the books she needed, and since the bell rang while we were in there, we started walking to our English class, the most supportable class, as soon as she had everything.

The English class was over really quickly, but unfortunately Geography and Philosophy weren't the same and it got reallyyyyyy boring.

Since we only had classes during the morning that day, we decided to go have lunch at McDonald's, to catch up with the news since it was Monday and we didn’t see each other during the weekend and to think about what we're going to do in Alexa's birthday as it is next week.

When we got there, we made our orders and then, Alexa and I walked to a table while Ana went to the bathroom, and I took the chance of us being alone to ask Alexa about what I discovered last Friday, since she begged me to not tell anyone.

"Are you really okay after what happened on Friday?" I asked eyeing her suspiciously, before taking a bite of my burger, waiting for her response.

"God, I already told you that everything’s fine. And I don't want to talk about it, so let’s just forget that it ever happened." She replied with a puff.

"You won’t solve your problems by forgetting them. Just promise me that you won’t do it again, or I swear to god that I will talk with your parents." I threatened her with a sigh of defeat. I know she’s lying but this girl is so stubborn that is better give up or else she will get moody, and I don’t want to deal with a moody Alexa.

"As you said, my problems, not yours, so I will deal with them the way I want. And not like they will care, or anyone for that matter, but whatever, I promise." She mumbled under her breath and looking down at the table, what made me worry about her. I saw Ana approaching and told Alexa that we would discuss that later.

"What did I miss while I was peeing?" Ana asked while sitting down beside me.

"Eww, you know that I hate when people say what they were doing in the bathroom." I told her with a frown, and they both started to laugh, and I could tell that in Alexa’s case it was a fake one.

"I love you too, honey." Ana replied grinning and kissed my cheek.

"I thought you were getting married with the toilet seat, since you're always there and took you so much time." I said starting to laugh as well.

“I can’t marry it because I’m already married with you.” Ana joked and kissed my cheek once again.

“That’s your wish, babe.” I teased, giving her a light shove with my shoulder.

“Yeah, yeah, yeah. That is all really beautiful, but let’s stop with this and eat. I'm hungry as hell.” Alexa said sounding grumpy again and I decided to not scold her for swearing since I was hungry as well and because every time I do it she flips me off and she is grumpy enough today.

Alexa P.O.V.

“So, what do you want to do for your birthday?” Ana asked me after swallowing her food.

“I dunno. We can go out to some bar or something, maybe?” I replied shrugging, not really caring.

“As it is next Sunday and we don’t have school work to do since it will be during Carnival holidays, it could be.” Vanessa suggested, looking surprised for me not being as excited as I should be considering the fact that I would be eighteen in a week. Like, I been waiting for this for years, but of course she had to mention the shit that happened Friday to get me pissed off. Well, thank you.

“Yeah, it’s cool, I guess.” I replied once again not paying much attention, and as they realized I wasn’t in a talking mood, they started eating again.

After we finished our lunch, we all went to our own houses, and while I was walking home I remembered my chat with Vanessa and about what she made me promise. I know I was an asshole with her and I really hate myself right now because of that, but I don’t want her to worry about me and I don’t want anyone’s pity. And also because she wasn’t even supposed to discover about that and I don’t want her to know about the real reasons. But I really want to stop, I just think I can’t. This is stronger than my will and once you start, it is hard to stop. It is just too addictive.

We know this chapter kinda sucks, but the beginning is always boring, however we promise that it is going to get better.

Sorry for any mistakes, but our mother language isn't english. 

We're going to publish at least once a week or maybe twice, so yeah, keep tuned.
