Chapter 6: Fever

Lucy's Pov:

So far for the rest of the night, Natsu and Gray been eating all the food off the tables. A couple dances went on and we all danced the night away. I can't forget what Erza's counterpart did.

If we want to get close to Mystogan we might have to go through her and that's going to be hard.

"Hey Lucy!! You should try this food it's awesome!!" Natsu talked to me as he was shoving food into his mouth.

I just sighed.

"What's wrong?" Natsu asked as he placed his hand on my shoulder.

"Nothing Natsu, we just need to keep our eyes peeled, so we can catch Mystogan's eye." I whispered.

Lily and the others walked up to us.

"We are going to have to head back to the prince's room, cause the ball will end in 30 minutes. We must get a head start." Lily suggested.

"Okay, what do we do if we get caught by any guards?" I asked.

"I have a plan, if we can't see the prince today." Lily said.

We all sneaked out of the ballroom and headed back to Mystogan's chambers.

"What's the plan?" Erza asked.

"They are always open for people to join the army and serve the country. We just need to apple and we will get in, and we will get our only set of rooms, so we won't have to go back to the city." Lily said.

"That's a great plan. We shall call it plan E!!" Natsu shouted with excitement.

"Plan E?" Jellal questioned. "Shouldn't it be plan A first?"

"We already used that plan and it failed cause Erza's counterpart always messes up plans." Gray said.

"How many things has she done?" Jellal asked.

"What hasn't she done is the real question." Lily joked making me laugh.

"How are we even going to get close to Mystogan when she's around?" Gray asked.

"I'm sure we will find a way to get close to Mystogan when she isn't watching him." L said.

"What happened to the others?" Erza asked.

"Don't worry about them, I told them a hallway that nobody uses anymore and we could stay there the night. People think it's haunted but it ain't." Lily said.

"Are there ghosts!?" Wendy trembled with fear.

"Okay, so Laxus, Juvia, Gajeel, Mirajane, grumps, and Meredy decide to call it a night?" Natsu asked.

"Yeah, we will meet up with them." I said.

We soon arrived at Mystogan's chamber again and Natsu leaned his head on the door and listened to if there was any noise inside.

"It's quiet. I hear water running." Natsu whispered.

"He must be showering." Erza pointed out.

"Maybe we should come back later." Jellal said.

"It's now or never." Gray said.

Natsu slowly opened the door to darkness as everything was covered but a light leading into another room. We quietly closed the door and all took a deep breath.

"That was easy! I'm surprised there was nobody at the door." Jellal said.

Just as we were about to go off hiding, we saw Natsu sneak up to the door of the bathroom and peeked in.

"Natsu! Stop that!" I did a whisper shout. I followed him and Natsu's eyes widened as we saw Mystogan on the shower floor sitting down hugging his knees while hair is all over his back.

"Is Mystogan alright?" Wendy asked worried.

"Your majesty is everything alright?" A women's voice asked. We looked to the left and saw Knightwalker holding a towel.

Third Pov:

"Yes, everything is perfectly fine." The king answered back.

"I think your coming down with a slight fever." Knightwalker said.

"I'm fine."

Knightwalker walked over to her king who was still in the shower as water was running down his body. She gently placed her hand on his forehead.

"Your burning up." She said.

"I'm freezing and the water isn't warming up." Mystogan trembled.

"That's what a fever does to you my king, now let's get you out of here." Knightwalker turned off the water and wrapped the towel she held around her king and lifted him off the floor and had him sit down as she wrapped another around his long hair and walked him over to his room.

Lucy and the others quickly panicked and hid behind his dresser as they watched them.

"Just take deep breaths." Knightwalker said to her king as she gently laid him down on his bed.

"My head is spinning." Mystogan mumbled.

"I'll go get you some medicine. You just layer there in bed and don't move. I will leave the light off for you so maybe you'll get some rest." Knightwalker said as she gently patted her king's head and shut off the lights and left the room.

Erza's Pov:

Now is our chance to actually talk to Mystogan and explain everything.

I just hope he realizes it's us and if he remembers us.
