As we trash the office, I feel so free and careless. It's like I let myself go and have so much fun. Nothing can ruin this moment.
"I have an even better idea instead of just the office," Jared says, stopping Grace and I in our tracks. Grace looks so stupidly funny right now. She was wearing a paper hat that she made and her face looked like a duck, which causes me to burst out laughing.
Grce answers, "What could be better than trashing just the office?"
"We could... Trash the hallways."
I look at Grace like saying that Jared was crazy, which he is. I knew the office would be okay because no one was there, since nobody came to stop us. The hallways have cameras, so I definitly knew that someone could be watching us.
I think for a minute before replying to him. "Um, are you even thinking? There are cameras in the hallway. Someone could be watching us and get us in trouble."
"Well, no one is in the office and the camera computers' are in here. So that means-" Jared is then cut off by four voices.
"Woah! What the heck happened in here!?" says one voice.
"This is insane!" says the second voice.
"Wow, this is cray cray!!" yells the third voice.
"Whoever did this is gonna get in deep trouble!" the last voice says.
Jared, Grace, and I stop dead in our tracks and slowly turn around. We thought they were office workers. But then I though about something... What adult says CRAY CRAY?Turns out they weren't and they were four of our friends. Edward Pacom, Michaela Zaym, Kai Nickelson, and Sylvia Sweet.
"Oh, thank gosh it's just you guys. I thought you were office people," I said with a relived voice. I was gonna scream if it was them, but I wouldn't do that. Actually, I lie. I definitely would scream.
Kai says, "Oh my gawd, what happened in here!? Tell meh!!"
Kai has been my best friend ever since 6th Grade when I came to this school. She is, what I would say, the most ghetto white girl. EVER. Kai is 5 foot 4 with dirty blond hair, blueish-green eyes which are GORGEOUS. I'm pretty jealous of her. I wouldn't say that because that girl is conceded. I would say how, but it's way too much explaining. Especially, since it's her.
"Uh, we were... Uh... Jared, help me," I replied.
Jared responds without hesitating, "We were trashing the office. I came up with an idea of doing the same to the hallway. Do all four of you guys want to join us?"
Edward, Michaela, Kai, and Sylvia all look at each other with unsure face expressions. I'm thinking they're all going to say no.
Edward replies for all of them. "Sure. Why not?" They all agreed yes? I didn't think they would all agree on that. Well, here goes trouble for all seven of us...
We head out to the hallway with paper towels, papers, pencils, food wrappers, and anything else we could find in the office. My head was pounding. My heart was beating. Was I ready for this? Would it be worth it? I hope it would be.
"Are you all ready?" asks Jared. We all nod in agreement. It's time. "Count off for us, Crystal."
Great, I'm the one that has to start this. I blame Jared if we get caught. "One... Two... Three..."
Everyone yells at once, "GO!!" We all run in opposite directions throwing the things we had in our hands and destroying post boards as we pass them.
I'm following Michaela at first, but she then turns into another hallway. I continue down a dark hallway throwing papers in the air. I can't believe I'm actually doing this. I've changed so much from what I used to be. Dang, puberty hits you hard.
As I turn down another hallway path, I stop for a little to rest from the running I did. I could tell the others have been where I was already. Everything was on the ground, teared up, ruined, destroyed. I still can't believe I'm the monster that I have become. What's wrong with me? What am I doing? I think to myself. But then, my thought get cut off by something in the dark, shady area of a short hallway.
"So, you like trashing things, huh? That's really cute of you, Crystal," says a deep, scary voice. I turn to where I hear the voice to see a guy with a black hoodie over his head. He wore black shoes and black pants. This person is really scaring me. I've never even seen him before. I think to myself, Does he even go to this school? Wait a second... He knew my name, but I never see him in the halls. I can't see his face. Who is he?! I start to back away really slowly because I'm really scared now.
The black shadow says, "Don't leave me, baby. There's nothing to be afraid of." He starts to walk towards me, holding his hand out to me with a grin on his face.
I'm not sure what to do. I don't know where to go. Suddenly, the whole room gets fuzzy and darker than it already was. That's when I noticed that I'm fainting.
