Veronica's P.O.V.

Today its friday so it means today is the day I will see mom. Hindi pa ako handa. i don't know what she will say to me all I knew is that she has a business trip for 3 months and based on what I saw at the mall...she lied.

She could have told me sooner but she didn't

"hate to interrupt your deep thoughts but heres some flowers" 

"you didn't have too" i said trying to recover from all the deep thinking

"so today's the day you get to see your mom eh?" oh yeah, thanks for reminding

"yeah, i think hinda pa ako handa. i mean will she tell me lies or the truth that I know I can't handle" i said to him trying to look straight at his eyes

"don't worry i'll be there with you. you know, for moral support" gee thanks

"there's no need caleb" 

"fine, fine. so, what happened yesterday" oh the encounter with dad

flashback

i know I crossed the line but she was disturbing my meal. Nobody disturbs my date with my food and me. Before I got out of the restaurant someone bumped in to me and to my surprise it was.....Dad.

"dad." i said trying to recover from shock

"i wasn't expecting to bump into you Bella" he said with a strict tone matched with a straight face

"me neither" I said while keeping a straight face

"have some coffee with me first and then we'll talk" he said with a straight face

"ok" i followed him until we entered the coffee shop called "In the end"

it had many quotes in the walls some are:

"In the end of time coffee will still be delicious"

"In the end coffee is expensive if starbucks so try our  cheaper coffee"

"in the end we all love coffee" 

I thought to myself...wow this is such a weird coffee shop

"take a seat" dad said. i quickly took a seat infront of him. it was quite awkward so he finally decides to break the ice

"kumusta kana?" he said in a much softer tone

"still the same. marami parin akong tanong na hindi sinasagot. ikaw?" i said trying not to sound sarcastic

"fine, i heard my two sons are your classmates or school mates" he said while raising a brow

"yeah" i took a sip of my coffee

"sinabi naba ni Hehlehn sayo na magkikita tayo sa starbucks bukas sa 6?" nagulat ako I didn't expect na kasama si dad bukas but his last words left my face with confusion

"bring caleb" he said in a strict voice. thats when I was confused

end of flashback

"I just don't get it why you need to be there" he looked at me directly

"come on maybe its the meet the parents thing" he said while laughing

"fine. got to get dressed my class starts in an hour" i said while kicking him out of my dorm

"ill pick you up later, bye" he kissed my cheek then left
