A poem I've created for someone who lights up my darkest days. This one's dedicated to Elijah Matthew Aquino.
It all happened like this,
The night sky requested someone
So that it'll no longer be alone
And there you came.
You've become my star
In the darkest of my days
You've become a daylight
In the black, deep heavenly curtain.
I tried to reach you
Hoping that someday you'll fall
And I'll catch you.
But no, I can't.
I can't take you away from Night.
I can't take you away from all people
Gazing upon you each and every night.
I can't and will never be.
It all happened like this,
A "being" wished to have someone
So that he will no longer be alone.
And there you came.
