Percy's P.O.V
I can't believe this. I've always wanted a daughter and now I have one. I don't really know what to think. I went from wishing I could have Annabeth back to having an actual family in just a matter of minutes. As we walk out of the cabin I take a close look at her. She has my eyes, but her hair is clearly Annabeth's.
"Hey," I said not really sure what else to say. "Hey," she said. "You want to come meet some of your mom and I's friends?" I asked. She looked over to Annabeth who nodded. "Sure she replied. She walked in between Annabeth and I down towards the lake where I knew they were all hanging out. "Hey guys!" I said when we got down there causing all there heads to turn. Their eyes all widened in shock. "Annabeth!" they all cried running and engulfing her in a hug.
"Whose are you, pretty girl?" Piper asks walking up to Abby after everyone breaks away from the hug. "I'm Abby," she says. "She's my daughter," Annabeth steps in. "And Percy's" she continues. "What?" they all exclaim. "Believe me, its a surprise to us all," Abby said. We all laughed lightly at that. Clearly she has Annabeth's sense of sarcasm. "Abby, these are all your aunts and uncles," Annabeth said. Abby looked over at the group of people that consisted of Piper, Thalia, Jason, Leo, Travis, Connor, Nico, Hazel, Katie, Frank, and Will. She looked back at Annabeth like she was crazy. "All of them?" she says clearly in disbelief and confused. I had to stifle a laugh.
"Yeah, we're all kind of related here, but gods don't actually have blood so we don't really count it as being related. That's why so many of the campers date one another." Hazel said stepping in. "Hey shouldn't you be in school? Isn't like the middle of the school year?" Leo asks. It suddenly dawned on me that he was right. Annabeth's not the type of person to pull her daughter out of school for a vacation in the middle of the year. "I got suspended..." she mumbled quietly. Wait what? "I like this girl already," Piper jokes. "What it exactly did you do?" I ask. "You're gonna be mad if I tell you," she says. I turn to look at Annabeth questioningly.
"She punched a guy in his face and broke his nose," she said. I look back at Abby. "Just out of curiosity... Why?" I say. She shrugged. "He was flirting with me," Jason and Frank practically choked on their drinks, Piper, the Stolls, Nico, and Thalia busted up laughing, you could tell Hazel, Will, and Katie were trying to stifle their laughter, and I had the biggest smile plastered on my face. "Nope, definitely no mad," I say laughing and swing an arm around her shoulder and I feel her lean into me. I can't help but smile. Annabeth wraps her arm around my waist on my other side and I wrap my other arm around her shoulder and we all head down to the beach. I never realized how bad I wanted a family until now. But I did know one thing for sure: I wasn't letting either of them get away. Not this time.
