Annabeth P.O.V
Ugh I couldn't sleep. I had too much on my mind. It was clear Percy wanted to be apart of our life but how? Would he come to California? Would we move to wherever he is? Or should we move closer to camp for Abby's safety? What about where Percy would live? Would he move in with us or is whatever our relationship now is ready for that and will Abby be comfortable with it? I'm a daughter of Athena for gods sake. I'm supposed to have answers not questions. I throw my covers off, get off my bunk, leave my cabin, and head to the beach.
Abby's asleep in the Hermes cabin. Hopefully she's not too miserable in there. It's not exactly the most luxurious cabin to be sleeping in. As I get closer to the beach I see a figure sitting on it. That's odd. Camper's aren't supposed to be out this late. I shake my head and continue walking. Once I'm closer I realize the figure is Percy. He turns around with a puzzled look on his face. "Annabeth?"
"Hey," I say quietly. He smiles at me. Gods I missed that smile. "Can't sleep," he asks. I sigh. "Nope too much on my mind," I say sitting down next to him. "Your wondering what happens next," he says. "How'd you know?" I asked and he laughs. "I may be a seaweed brain Annabeth, but I know how your brain works. Well, at least most of the time." he says. "Wow I'm impressed. The great Percy Jackson knows something," I say trying not to giggle. "Haha very funny" he retorts. "But seriously Annabeth, wherever you go, I'll follow. But honestly, I think she'd be safer closer to camp. Now that she knows who she is, than that means monsters will start targeting her." he says. "You're right," I sigh. As much as I like California, she's not safe. We need to be closer to here," I say.
"I guess we better address the elephant in the room though," he says. "Us?" I ask. "Yeah," he says. "Look I don't know where you want us to go, but I'm willing to see. I've missed you so much since you left and all I've thought about since then is seeing you again, but I understand if you want to take whatever it we have slow," he finishes.
I stare at him for a moment thinking about what he said. Before I can even think about what I'm doing I crash my lips onto his. I missed the feeling of the salty taste of his lips on mine. Immediately I feel him begin to kiss me back. I press my lips against his firmer and swing my leg over his straddling him. "Screw slow," I say breaking away. He grunts for a second before crashing his lips back on mine. I feel his tongue swipe my lower lip prying for entrance and I open my mouth letting his tongue explore my mouth while I explore his.
I'm in a moment of pure bliss. I feel like we're teenagers again sneaking out onto the beach. Except if we get caught we won't get in trouble we'll just weird out campers considering we're thirty. After a long while we finally pull away. "Come back to my cabin?" he asks. "Yup," I say breathlessly we scramble to get off the sand. I can't help but giggle like teenager as he grabs my hand and we run off to his cabin.
