Annabeth's POV
It has been six years since I left. When I left for the airport I bought a ticket to LAX airport in Los Angeles, California (L.A). When I arrived, I stayed in the Ritz Carlton until I got a job as an architect in Los Angeles then moved to a house in Newport Beach, California in a nice safe gated community.
My daughter, who is the original reason I left for this new life, is now 6 years old. Her name is Abigail Selina Zoe Chase Jackson. But I call her Abby. She doesn't know about having two parts in her last name. She only knows the first part of her last name which is Chase. I have never told her about Percy and never planned on telling her about Percy. I felt like a horrible mother, but I swore in the River of Styx I wouldn't replace him so if something ever comes up I will tell her the truth but I doubt she'll ever ask.
Now I am walking her to the bus stop for her first day of school. I was a little nervous about monsters but she had no idea who she was so no monsters should come. "Bye Abby!" I said as she walked on the bus. "Bye mommy!" she called back before she turned and I found a seat on the bus. I waved to her from the window. I sighed. She was my last memory of Percy. She had my honey blonde hair and my smarts, but she had Percy's piercing sea green eyes. They were stunning. I watched the bus turn around the corner then I turned around and walked back to house. When I walked in, there standing in front of me was Kelli, the Emposia. I scowled. "I defeated Kronos and Gaea before I was eighteen so I don't know why you are here. Sending you back to Tartarus will be a piece of cake! " I said pulling my dagger from my waist where I always kept it. She screamed and lunged at me. One swipe of my dagger and she was nothing but dust. I put my dagger at my waist and went to do some blue prints in my office.
A few hours later, Abby came home. "Did you have fun dear?" I asked at dinner. "Yes mommy," she said. "My teacher's name is Mr.Brunner and he loves mythology. Especially Greek," she continued. I felt all the color drain from my face. Mr.Brunner was Chiron's cover name when he went to schools and posed as a teacher if there was an emergency about a demigod they weren't sure about. I shook the idea out of my head. There was probably someone who they thought was a demigod but weren't completely sure about. "He said I had very pretty eyes," she went on. "He said they remind him of a strong boy he knew," she said. "That's wonderful dear, " I said while clearing the plates off the table. "Now why don't you go get a shower and get ready for bed while I do the dishes, ok?" I asked. "Ok mommy," she said and skipped out of the room and upstairs to her room.
