That night, Remus woke up twice more.

The first time, he sat up in bed slowly, shaking madly as his whole body contracted painfully.
He tried to bow over Sirius to reach the bucket and grabbed it last second, spitting up some dark blood.

Sirius looked at him silently before sitting up and grabbing his glass of water, holding it to Remus' lips and tilting it gently so he'd take a few sips.
Remus did so silently, still shaking madly, his face glistening with cold sweat, his lips slightly red from the blood.

After Sirius had put the glass down, he grabbed a tissue and carefully wiped his lips clean.
„There you go..."
He said in a raspy, but silent and gentle voice.

Remus looked at him, his face white and his eyes seeming empty.
He looked so sick as he slowly laid down again, shaking madly as he forced a ‚thank you'.

Sirius placed the bucket somewhere they could both reach it before laying down again and watching Remus silently until he fell asleep.

The other boy fell asleep as well, his sleep light and disturbed by nightmares of losing Remus in a few days.
Four days left now...
It was the Second of November.

Sirius' Birthday would be tomorrow, and Remus seemed to already be dying slowly and painfully.
Sirius didn't want to imagine what Remus might endure during that night of the eclipse, considering the state he was already in now.

Remus woke up again at five in the morning, so close to Sirius, his face hidden in his shoulder.
He started shaking madly, unable to sit up as he had to spit up more blood, directly onto Sirius' shoulder.
The other boy woke up because of the hot liquid on his shoulder and because of the awful noises Remus made.

Remus shook his head fastly, trying to sit up somehow after pushing himself away from Sirius.
„I-I'm s-sorr-"
He didn't finish his sentence as he spit more blood up yet again, onto the pillow this time, shaking madly.

Sirius sat up, grabbing the bucket and sitting Remus up somehow, holding his head up carefully as he spit into the bucket.
Remus could barely sit up straight, bowing over the bucket.

The boy was shaking madly, his stomach contracting again but there wasn't really anything left to push out.

Sirius felt his heart breaking as he stroked Remus' hair gently, holding his head up over the bucket before slowly removing it as he was pretty optimistic that Remus was done for now.
He made the trembling boy drink some water again, looking at him.

Remus looked awful, shaking madly, his lips turning blue-ish.
He looked at Sirius, placing a hand on his dirty shoulder and trying to wipe away the blood.
„I-I-I'm s-s-so s-sorry..."

Sirius shook his head silently, taking Remus cold hand off his shoulder and squeezing it slightly.
„Don't you worry about me.
Lay down.
Rest..."

Remus looked at Sirius, slowly leaning forwards and resting his head against Sirius' clean shoulder.
„I c-can't d-d-do this a-anymore..."

Sirius placed a hand on the other boy's soft hair, stroking it gently and carefully.
„I know you can.
You will survive this stupid lunar eclipse, alright?"

Remus shook his head, trembling as tears made their way to his eyes.
„N-no..."

Sirius continued his gentle caressing of the boy's hair, his breath calm.
„It's just a stupid shadow on the moon.
You can survive that..."

Remus started sobbing, his sobs and gasps for air heartbreaking.
„N-No I-I-I c-c-can't...!"

Sirius pulled Remus closer to him, holding him against his chest tightly but still gently.
„Shh bab-
R-Remus..."
