James looked at Peter first, than turned to face Remus who had sat down on his assigned hospital bed.
„D-did he cry...?" He said, dumbfounded.

Peter looked just as confused as James did, turning to Remus who sighed.
„Looked like it..." He nodded, causing Peter to reply in a confused tone.

„But... Sirius never cries..."

Both Remus and James nodded slowly at his statement, both thinking about how their best friend had run off.

For James, his actions encouraged his speculations which he had been having about Sirius' behavior towards Remus and in his pressence lately.

For Remus on the other hand, it was awful.
His heart had dropped when he had seen Sirius sad and it seemed to have been his fault.

Sirius was walking around, having calmed down slightly by now and walking towards Dumbledores office, cursing as he saw that he couldn't just get in there.

„LET ME IN, NOW!
IT'S FUCKING IMPORTANT!"
He yelled across the whole hallway, before Dumbledore himself spoke up in a calm voice from behind Sirius, who jumped as he spoke up.

„Well.
Hello, Sirius.
I heard you wanted to speak to me?"

Sirius looked at him, shaking. He was so angry, scared and desperate.
„Yes, I do."

Dumbledore nodded, looking at Sirius.
„I'll be glad to welcome you later today, Sir-"

Sirius glared at him, his eyes cold and angry.
"No, NOW."

Dumbledore looked at him, raising his eyesbrows slightly but nodding slowly, as always calm and patient.
„Alright then."

He turned to face the great stone eagle which formed the entrance to his office, saying his password in steady voice before making his way up the staircase with Sirius, who hadn't bothered to wait until he had been asked to follow.

They walked into his circular office.
Even though Sirius had been in loads of trouble already, he hadn't have to come here yet.
Dumbledore sat down in his chair which looked almost like a throne, gesturing Sirius to take the seat across him calmly.

The boy did so after he had scanned the room with his almost black eyes, his gaze having stopped at one point or another when he had seen something weird or interesting.

„Have a snack." The elderly man said in his usual polite tone, gesturing across the table where bowls filled with all sorts of sweets were situated.
Sirius just shook his head, taking a deep breath before speaking up, trying to keep his voice steady and hide as good as he could that he had cried just a few minutes earlier.

„No, thank you.
I'm here to talk."

Dumbledore nodded, gesturing him to continue before picking up a chocolate frog and unwrapping it silently.

„It's about my friend, Remus.
You know that he's a werewolf and the whole lunar eclipse thing is close now.
He'll be in great danger an-„
Sirius talked fastly but clearly until Dumbledore interrupted, looking up at the end of his sentence instead of the beginning.

„And you want me to keep him safe and alive, right?"
His voice was calm and steady, not surprised or anything.

Sirius took a deep shaky breath, sighing.
„Yes, I do..."

Dumbledore smiled slightly, his expression calm and his words didn't fit his smile at all.
„I can't, Sirius..."

He glared at him suddenly, his expression angry and shocked.
„What do you mean, you can't!?
You can and you will!"
