Unheard Beauty (Melix, mute)

Chapter 2

(Italics is Marzia writing) 

Felix's POV 

When I woke up I went downstairs to see her cooking? "Hey uhm, you know you don't have to" I say walking over to her

She points to the counter where there's a notepad. On it is written 

'Hi my name is Marzia, thank you for saving me last night. I love cooking so I wanted to make you something since you helped me and let me stay here. You can sit at the table and I'll bring you your plate' 

"Oh, it's no problem Marzia. I'm Felix by the way" She turns with a smile and waves then goes back to cooking. How am I supposed to talk to someone who can't talk? I mean she can write but she's cooking so I'll talk with her later 

I walk over to the table and sit down, I get out my phone and I have a text from Jack 

Jack-Hey man! Signe and I wanted to see if you'd like to hang out today? We were going to walk around Brighton and have some fun. You in?
Felix-Yeah sounds like fun, but I have company. Is it ok if she comes too?
Jack-ooooooo got a girl over? Yeah, she's more than welcome!
Felix-Thanks, see ya later potato
Jack-Bye, meatball

I set my phone down as she comes in and sets a plate of pancakes in front of me "Oh thanks Marzia!" She waves me off and sits across from me with her own food "Hey so my friend invited us out with him and his girlfriend. He said you're more than welcome to come. Would you like to?" 

She nods and starts eating, so I start as well 

"Hey Marzia?" She looks up to me "I was wanting to get to know you. Maybe we could talk, or I could talk and you could write?" she nods and grabs the notepad and a pen 

She writes something then sets it down 'What do you want to know?'  "Ok, where are you from?" She takes the paper again and then sets it down after writing 'Italy, born and raised. I'm also 25. You?' "That's awesome! I'm from Sweden, born and raised and I'm 28. So I don't know if this is mean or rude or whatever but did something happen that made you mute?"

I hear faint laughter from her as she goes back to writing 'Most people ask me that so it's ok, and I was just born mute' "Oh, I'm sorry" She shrugs 'who are your friends we're going to see?' "Oh! Jack and Signe, they're really nice trust me you'll love them. They've been dating for a few years now and are really sweet people" 

'they sound nice' I smile and nod. She stands up with her plate but I quickly stand up "Here I've got it Marzia" She tilts her head and gives me a 'are you sure' look so I nod "Yes it's fine. After this, if you want, you can borrow some of my clothes. Though they might be big" I say taking her plate and mine into the kitchen 

She nods and points to the stairs "Yeah! My rooms up there, come on" She follows me up with Edgar close behind. He seems addicted to her. I go into my room where I go to my wardrobe. 

I grab my gremlin shirt and a black undershirt then some black pants "Here, sorry they're big but I don't have any clothes that would fit you" She shrugs and takes them "I'll be downstairs, so come down when you're done and we can head out" she nods so I head downstairs but Edgar doesn't follow 

"Edgar get out of there, you respacht wahman" I say making a faint giggle come from her as he ran out. I close the door and wait downstairs for her 

After a few minutes she comes down with the shirt hanging over her knees, honestly she looks adorable in my clothes "Do you want me to tie it up? I think I have a hair tie somewhere" She shakes her head "Oh, ok. So are you ready to go?" She nods so we walk out to my car 

It's a quiet drive out there but I can't blame her. I played music so there was some noise and she tapped her foot and hand with the beat 

I pull up and we get out of the car and walk up to their house. I knock loudly "Jack!! Come on Potato!" The door opens to Signe "Sorry, he has headphones on up in his office. Come on in" We walk inside and she closes the door "Oh and Signe, this is Marzia" Marzia waves and they shake hands 

"Hey Marzia! I'm Singe, are you Felix's friend?" She just nods "Not a talker?" She shrugs "Actually she's-" "You can head up if you want Felix" She says cutting me off but not on purpose "Oh, ok sure. Are you gonna be ok Marzia?" She nods so I walk up to Jack's office 

I open up the door and he doesn't seem to notice. It looks like he's recording so I sneak in frame and jump on him while screaming making him scream and punch me 

I laugh as I hit the floor and he jumps up covering his mouth "I'm so sorry Felix!! I didn't know it was you!!! I thought a fan got in!!" I stand up "It's fine Jack, I'm ok. Your weak punch did nothing" But still he hugged me tightly "Still though, I'm sorry" "It's ok, I just gotta warn Signe" "No she's done it before but I know her voice so it never scares me. I'm sorry" "It's fine, really. Let's head downstairs I want you to meet my friend" 

He pauses everything and we go downstairs where Marzia and Signe are making signs with their hands "Hey?" I question, and they look up to us "Oh hey!" Signe greets "Felix why didn't you tell me she's mute? I know sign language" "You do!?" she nods while chuckling 

"we've been talking for a while" "huh, her and I just use pen and paper" I say as we walk over and sit with them on the couch 

Jack sits down next to Signe so she cuddles into him and I sit next to Marzia "What've you two been talking about?" Jack asks Signe "Not much, just about how she met Felix and everything"  "She told you?" I ask and Signe nods 

"About how she was attacked and you helped her." I nod 

We all talk for a while longer with Signe translating what Marzia's saying and talking with her in sign language every now and then
