Unheard Beauty (Melix, mute)

Chapter 10

Marzia's POV 

It's been a few weeks since Christmas and still nothing from Signe, until this morning 

S-Hey I found a doctor that'll do surgery to let you talk. But only if you're sure

I smile widely and run into the living room, jumping on the couch by Felix "Whoa hey, you good?" I nod quickly and show him the message from Signe 

"Marzia, that's great but you know you don't have to" I nod and grab my notebook since he's still slow with sign language 'Yes I do! We can finally talk! I can be normal' "Is that what this is about? Being normal?" 'kinda' "Marzia, babe, you don't have to be normal I couldn't care less if we're talking through hands, paper, or not even talking. I love you how you are....but if you want to do this...I guess....I'm not your boss" 

Looking at him right now he doesn't seem as happy as I thought he'd be 'you aren't happy? You could date someone normal!' "You are normal babe, you're, your own normal and I love that. But as long as your happy, I am too. Just.....think before you really do this. Doing this surgery would change your whole life and everything you know. I'll help you learn everything but I do want you to think about this on a serious level." 

'I've been thinking about this my whole life Felix!' "Hey you don't need to scream, I just want you to know what you're doing" 'I do know what I'm doing!' I get up and throw the notebook at him, I won't be needing it 

"Where are you going babe!?" Felix asks running up to me with my notepad so I quickly write down 'doing what you said, going to go take a walk and think about it' "I could come with you! I'm already ready plus we can go back on another date and I could help you with this" I shake my head 'I'll be ok alone' he sighs "somehow I doubt that" He mumbles then looks to me "Ok just...be careful" He kisses my cheek and I leave

After I'm kinda far from home I look at my phone and check the address Signe gave me, it isn't far from here. Time to go get this done! 

"Mrs.Bisognin, Dr.S is ready to see you" I nod and stand up, walking to the back with my pen and notepad. 

I follow a woman to a back room where she leaves me so I text Signe 

M-I'm in the office rn, can't wait!
S-I'm really happy for you Marzi, what does Felix think?
M-I told him....but he doesn't know I'm doing it rn. Told him I was going on a walk 
S-You know this is gonna take a while right? He'll start to worry about you
M-He'll be fine
M-oh doctors here, gtg 
S-good luck 

"Hello Mrs.Bisognin, you're here for the mute treatment, correct?" I nod "Ok, this is a new system so we're gonna have you fill out a servery once we're complete. I need you to get ready for surgery so remove any metals and a robe will be brought in soon" I nod 

I can't wait for this

Felix's POV 

"She's not answering her phone again" I mumble to myself looking at the messages I've been sending the past few hours.  

F-Hey Signe, is Marzi at y'alls house
S-no
F-Are you ok?
S-mhm....I do know where she is though
F-Where?
S-hospital....she went to get her voice

I drop my phone as I read that

She didn't...that surgery's new! It's dangerous still! 

Quickly I jump up, throw on my shoes and run out to my car. I drive as fast as I can to the hospital 

I rush in "What surgery room is Marzia Bisognin in!?" "I'm sorry sir you aren't allowed back there. Her surgery already started, you'll just have to sit and wait" "Like hell I am!! What room is my girlfriend in!?" I scream, now all eyes are on me along with a few cameras 

I can see it in the headlines now 'Pewdiepie Attack at Brighton UK Hospital' but I don't care, I need to get to Marzia. "Sir, I suggest you take a seat and wait before I call security" I scowl and turn around. 

I take a seat and sit my head in my hands. I can't get kicked out, then I really wouldn't see her. How could she do this!? I told her I wanted to talk to her before she did anything so we can talk about it and think everything over. All I know is this surgery better not go wrong, or this hospital is gonna have one less doctor

After a few hours of waiting the woman at the counter calls me over "You may go in to see her, just keep in mind her surgery just ended so if she does talk her voice might not be too well. She's on floor 8 in room 76" "Thank you" 

I run to the elevator and make my way to her room 

I open the door and she's laying on the bed, eyes half open. "Marzia?" I ask walking over. She smiles and waves so I look to the doctor who's next to her bed for a answer "She's still on medicine so she'll be a little loopy. Thought the surgery was a success, she was talking to me just a minute ago. She is having trouble learning though so you'll have to work with her on how to talk" 

I nod "Already planned on" "Good, I'll leave you two be" he leaves and I look to Marzia and sigh "Why didn't you tell me you were doing this?" I mumble and I hear such a soft, gentle, quiet voice say "I..thought- you'd be mad" 

Is that her voice....just hearing it makes me smile. I start to cry slightly and I hear her giggle, I actually hear her laugh!! 

"Marzia, I love you" I say kissing her, her face still turns beat red as I hear "I...love you too F-Felix" "Hey don't strain yourself to speak, let your voice rest" She shakes her head "it's rested enough" I chuckle "No it hasn't babe, I'm gonna call the others and let them know ok?" she nods "I want...Signe t-to come" I nod "Ok I'll get them over" 

So I text everyone separately and Signe texts that she's on her way 

After a few minutes Signe walks in alone, "where's Jack?" I ask as she walks up "He was recording, he'll be here after a while" I nod and she takes a careful seat on the edge of Marzia's bed and sets a hand on hers "Hey Marzia, you ok?" Marzia nods and we both notice a few tears fall down her face

"th-thank you f-for helping me Signe" Signe smiles "No problem, and I love your voice. It's adorable, it fits you perfectly" Marzia chuckles a little making us both happy 

I can't believe it, she can talk
