Chapter 6

Marzia's POV

The next morning we were sitting in the living room watching tv with Christmas decorations around us including a tree we need to decorate . I will admit I'm sitting closer to him than I normally would but I'm happy though something happened, since there was a commercial about some dumb horror movie but it was enough to scare me

I gripped onto Felix's arm and closed my eyes, pressing my face into his shoulder. After a few minutes I hear "Hey, it's over. You're ok" I untense and move my face from him, why are they doing horror near Christmas anyway, there's no point

He shrugs "I almost just lost an arm"he jokes so I quickly let go, setting my hands in my lap with a red face " 's fine, I really don't mind"

I think about what I saw last night and smile slightly. Gently and cautiously I lay my head back on his shoulder and my smile warms when he places his hand on my leg

If only I could be normal and talk to him like a normal person. I've never wanted to not be myself in so long. Not since I was younger have I wanted to talk to someone and now I can't

I wipe away the tears that found their way down to my cheeks "Whoa, Marzi, you ok?" I nod and sit up

I was a little surprised when I felt his hand on my cheek. I look to him and he smiles "You know you have really pretty eyes" I smile slightly and lean on his hand

His thumb goes back and forth calmly on my cheek and I can't help but let more tears fall

I set my hand on his and move back from him, why get attached and have hope when I can't even talk to ask him out. "Marzi, you can talk to m-" he stops and looks away "s-sorry" I stand up and he looks to me "Are you ok?" I nod

I point to the stairs "oh yeah, uhm, come down when you're ready to decorate the tree. Ok?" I nod and walk upstairs into his room

Felix's POV

I sigh and lean back, was I getting too close? She didn't seem to mind he holding her and even melted into me but she went off crying...

A few hours pass and she still hasn't come down. I stand up when I hear a floor board creak. I turn and Marzia's dressed in a winter dress with a scarf on "A-Are you heading out?" She nods "Are you gonna........come back?" I ask hesitantly "W-We still have a tree to decorate" she nods again with a small smile but I see more tears and her eyes are red

I don't think I should bring attention to it though "Ok be safe" she nods and leaves

Another few hours pass and now it's 2 am, yet no Marzia and a barren tree. I sigh and throw on my jacket. Quickly I left to find her. Something could've happened

"Marzia!?" I call going down the streets and sidewalks but nothing. I call a few more times with no response. It's starting to get colder but I'm not stopping till I find her

So I searched for about 30 minutes when I passed the park. I went inside and walk around "Marzia!?" I call once more

but nobody came

I sigh until I see something on a bench, more importantly , someone

I run as fast as I can to her and she's fast asleep and shivering. Why the fuck did she come out here!? I take in a deep breath and let it out, she probably just got too tired to walk back.

I take off my jacket and lay it over her for more warmth then gently picked her bridal style "Damn it Marzia" I mumble "Let's get home"

After I get inside I bring her to my bedroom and lay her down in bed. I lay down next to her and even with everything on and my comforter she's still shaking so I carefully wrap my arms around her and hold her and not before long her shaking stopped and I was asleep

Marzia's POV

I slowly open my eyes expecting to see the grass I went to sleep to last night but instead I woke to a bed and a chest

And not only was I in my clothes, another jacket and a comforter but a pair of arms are wrapped around my waist. I look up to see Felix against me and I'm pressed into his chest. It's so warm in this spot, I'm so comfortable in his hold

But this is why I left last night. I know him and I can't date, he most likely wants someone......normal

Someone who can laugh at his jokes, who can actually talk to him "Hey" I hear him say softly. I smile so he knows I'm awake "Wanna get up or go back to bed?" I set my head back on his chest and move closer to him making him chuckle and his hold on me gets tighter

After a few minutes I start to sneeze which made Felix give me a weird look "What was that?" He asked laughing. I sneeze weird since I can't make noises it just looks like I'm sneezing

I point to my nose "A sneeze?" He asks and I nod making him laugh more. He fell on his back which pulled his arms from my body

He sits up and stops laughing but when I sneeze again he chuckles "You probably got sick, what happened last night by the way?" I hold my hand flat and use my nail to act like writing "I'll go grab it"

He runs out then comes back and hands it to me so I start writing, but I stop. I don't want him to know why I really left so instead I scratch out what I had wrote and write 'went on a walk just cuz and got tired. Sorry if I worried you. I didn't think you'd care'

"Course I'd care Marzia, you didn't come home and when we first met you were being attacked. I went out and looked for you at like 2 am this morning" I look away a little, he stayed up waiting for me to come help decorate and I didn't even come back

"But hey don't focus on that, we still have to decorate. Christmas is next week" I nod and we get out of bed

We make our way downstairs "Ok, the boxes are over there so lets get started" I nod again and we start decorating his Christmas tree

After we had all the ornaments put up the last thing was the star. Felix hands it to me and I look to him with a raised eyebrow then look to the top of the tree making him laugh "I'll help just go face the tree" I trust him so I do as he says and within a minute he has hold of my waist and raises me to set the star on the tree

He sets me down after the stars in place and we simply smile. I wonder if he has any plans for Christmas? I hope he doesn't have family to go see, knowing him he'd invite me or he'd stay here for me.

"Hey I gotta head out to get some more presents, you good alone?" Felix asks and I nod since I don't have my notepad

"Ok, be safe" He hugs me and I feel something on my head. Did he...kiss me? He pulls back and smiles then leaves "I'll be back soon!" He calls closing the door

I stand in shock as he leaves, I can't believe he actually kissed me. Wait he said presents? Shit! I need to go buy some! Quickly I pull out my wallet and I don't have much money left on me but it's enough

So I rush out to the mall to find them all presents
