ch 9

"Let's go watch a movie," Harry said out of the blue. It was lunch time and yes, Louis stole my chips. I didn't even bother running after to him to get it now.

"A scary one!" Liam smiled at the idea. Louis crumpled up my bag of chips, they were all gone. I glared at him and wistfully looked at the crumbs. 

"No!!! A funny one," Louis threw away the bag.

"No you're boring," Harry frowned.

"No, I'm flamboyant." Louis proudly stood up and struck a pose.

"Ew," Beka wrinkled her nose.

"Let's watch both." Alison grinned cheerfully. 

"That cost a lot," Zayn pouted. Harry and Liam nodded in agreement.

"Who said we had to buy 2 tickets?" Sabrina raised her eyebrows. Bekka and I exchanged glances.

Flashback-

"THAT WAS SO AWESOME!" I cheered and grabbed another handful of popcorn.

"Yea, I loved how it ended," Bekka smiled despite the glistening tears on her eyes. We had just finished a very touching movie, and yea, both of us cried a bit in the end. 

"Oh look! This looks cool," I looked at the movie name. It was Rio. I heard so much about it and was dying to see it but ended up watching The Hunger Games.

"Wanna watch it?" Bekka slyly smiled and winked at me.

"Are you sure...?" I skeptically looked at the sign.

"Mhm," Bekka grabbed the popcorn abd bought it for a refill. Then, we went into the theater and watched Rio. We were so... criminalish.

"I get it," Niall let out an evil cackle.

"This is...against the law or whatever," Liam seriously thought about it.

"Ok then, let's just watch one," I simply shrugged.

"Wait!" Zayn raised his hand as though he was at school. I smirked and knew what was to come. The air was heavy with silence as we all considered it.

"Let's do it," Louis hushed voice cut through the silence.

"It will be fun!" Harry grinned like a kid.

"So which movies?" Alison asked and bit into an apple. I took my oreos out and licked the cream. It reminded me of the time the boys did the cream or cookie game and they ended up liking the cream much more.

"How bout...White Chicks," Louis suggested for the funny movie. I was intensely shocked. Who knew we had the same likings?

"Wait, it's in the theaters??" I gasped.

"Yea," Sabrina held up her phone to show us in the AMC theaters.

"Ooooh~ please please please?" I begged over and over until everyone got exasperated and agreed on it. 

"Scary movie," Liam rubbed his palm together.

"I heard of this creepy Japanese one." Bekka looked across the yard as she tried to recall it's name. 

"Oh yea!" Alison bit her lip in thought. 

"I've heard of it," Zayn tapped his chin. Was everyone else besides me knowing this movie!?

"Do you mean The Ring?" Liam asked us. Instantly, all their eyes lit up.

"YEAH! THAT!!" Sabrina cried and held up her phone once again. I saw that there was a trailer. I shivered and saw the first image of a pale girl with long locks covering her hair. Her eyes were seriously scaring me.

"W-what is that a-about?" Louis nervously covered his ears as the trailer started. It was a wise thing to do because an eerie, high pitched ring began to ring out, first faded, then louder and scarier.

"This is cool," Niall commented. Words flashed across the screen.

"The rain hides all. The rain hides the girl. The ringing brings her in. A murder occurs. But is everyone ready to die just yet?" The words resonated in the air. We were all silent and captivated.

"We should see that!" Harry and Liam hi-fived.

"Yea," Bekka and Alison smiled happily. Now that we had the times and movies settled, I couldn't help but think about the nightmares I'd get.

"Well, if you say," Louis muttered.

"Are you sure we aren't gonna die in this?" Sabrina nervously looked around for any potential murderers.

"Yeah I'm sure," Zayn packed his lunch up.

"Tomorrow afterschool it is!" I fist pumped the air. Though the movies might look a bit scary, I knew that I'd have fun. Of course, I had all my besties with me.

"Alrightie!!!!" We all started to do the chicken dance because it was kinda our 'code' thing to do when we were overly excited, scared, happy or in general, emotional. People looked at us in millions of different weird ways but I didn't care.

"NACHOS!" Sabrina screamed. 

"POPCORN!" Bekka and I both yelled.

"ICEEEEEE!" Alison danced around.

"SCARY STUFF!" Liam and Harry both did some complex fist bump.

"WHITE CHICKS!" Louis earned some weird stares at that comment.

"FOOD!" Zayn fist pumped the air like a cool dude.

"FRIENDS!" Niall made the last yell. We calmed down just as the bell rang. I sighed and grabbed my books.

Ugh, class.

"Omg AHAHAHAHAHAHA!" I bursted into laughter along with everyone else. The theater was dark but cheerful. It was really funny. It was at the part where they dude was driving in a car and the other dude's face was smashed up against the rear window because there was no room for him to sit.

"Would hate to be in that situation," Sabrina whispered to me. Besides me, Louis was dying of laughter.

"Yup," I agreed.

"What the-- the dog!" Bekka suddenly screeched and leaned foward.

"Ohgod," Alison's voice was full of dread as her eyes stayed glued to the screen.

"Whoa, this is deep," Zayn blinked as the dog flew out the window. The girls in the back began to scream furiously.

"Ah.." Niall trailed off. We were all so into the movie.

After an hour, our cheeks and stomachs hurt due to the laughing that was done. 

"Here we go!" Harry was walking quickly due to anticipation. The theater for The Ring was on the 2nd floor. We took the escalator down and got in the theater just in time for the credits to start. A ringing was heard. Dread filled my stomach as the movie began.
