ch 15

Stupidest book ever. It was more boring than math which I have no idea how. It was just... guh who even cares about this book? Appearantly my teacher. He was certaintly the best teacher I had but I just wish that his lessons weren't so boring! Also, he should choose more modern and interesting books!

"I'm gonna die of boredom," Bekka muttered from behind me.

"Understatement of the century," I whispered back to her. Mr. V caught us and gave us a look. Bekka and I instantly put on angelic smiles. Louis snickered and stole my book. I glared at him and reached for it, and magically managing to get it. Mr. V was in the middle of a sentence but then he was interrupted by a teacher. Ms. Rim. She had a girl next to her. She was dirty blond, had dark eyes and pale skin. She was wearing shorty shorts and a cardigan. Slung over her shohulder was a black backpack. 

"This is Kassie. She'll be joining your class," Ms. Rim informed us and left. Mr. V guided her to sit behind Bekka at the last seat. Students began to swarm around her. Bekka groaned, "Ugh I hate how new kids are such a big deal." I leaned over to get a better look at her. She looked friendly enough, and a bit overwhelmed.

"I'm Tori," I greeted her. She gave me a small smile. Louis was watching her, "She's not bad looking." Something rose inside my chest. I have no idea what but it wasn't a good feeling.

"Yeah yeah," I found myself glaring at the girl. 

"Oooh~ jealousy in the air~" Bekka sang at my expression.

"No!" I protested but began to wonder. Was I jealous? What would I be jealous of? I scoffed and returned to the boring book. Eventually things calmed down and we began to read. Behind me I heard whispers. I was tempted to turn around but decided against it.

"Are you gonna ask her to hang out with us?" Louis poked me. The fact that he asked that irked me. I firmly shook my head. Louis frowned a bit but didn't say anything. I wondered if he could have a bit of a thing for that girl... Giggling was heard. Snapping my head back, I saw the new girl and Bekka laughing. I frowned.

"Oh Tori, if you don't mind, I invited Kassie to sit with us," Bekka smiled. Kassie bowed her head and hopefully looked at me. I wanted to scream no but instead, I nodded.

"Thanks!" Kassie had a tiny voice. I nodded and turned around. Something about Kassie irritated me. First she steals Louis, then my best friend? What justice was this? What...wait a second why'd I include Louis? I shook  my head, for sure I was going crazy. Across the room, Alison and Sabrina were whispering about the girl. New girl blah blah blah.

During lunch, we walked to our usual spot in the courtyard. The new girl was there as well. The boys were laughing and acting like douches behind us. 

"Food," Niall smiled up to the sky before unwrapping his sandwhich. Kassie giggled and held up a package of wheat pretzels to Niall. 

"Thanks!" Niall enveloped her in a hug and opened the bag of pretzels. He crunched on it like it was the best thing on the world. Please.

"Your accent is so cute!" Kassie gushed over Harry. He thanked her bashfully and they immersed into a conversation about Greath Britan, Harry's home country.

"Oh look!" Alison laughed and pointed at the basketball place where some jocks were. They were playing but then, a basketball smacked one of them in the head. I burst out laughing along with the others.

"Hey did you know that I have these premeire tickets to a concert?" Kassie leaned foward, interrupting us. The word 'concert' intrigued me.

"What concert?" Zayn gave Niall what was left of his pasta.

"Just a concert with Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Black Veil Brides, R5, Rita Ora, Eminem, etc," Kassie smiled proudly and showed 10 tickets.

"Whoa! I wanna go!" Louis and Harry both cheered.

"Who's in?" Sabrina differently asked. She wasn't interested in american music. 

"Me!" Bekka, Alison, Harry, Louis, Zayn, Niall and Liam all raised their hands. Kassie nodded in approval. Reluuctantly, I raised my hand up as well. Sabrina sighed but agreed. We were peacefully eating but then Sabrina asked Kassie what her fave genre of music was.

"Kpop," Kassie shocked us all.

"Me too!" Sabrina and Alison immediately began talking about kpop with the girl. Ugh.

"What do you have against her?" Harry asked me. I shrugged, really having no idea. I just didn't like her. 

"Go easy on her, it's her first day. She wants to make friends," Liam butted in our conversation. I shooed him away and just watched the girl take over my friends. I stood up, startling all around us and grabbed Bekka, Alison and Sabrina and dragged them to a secluded corner.

"Are you really gonna make her one of us?" Us was the 4 of us, lifelong best friends. 

"Depends, if she wants to." Bekka shrugged.

"I like her," Alison agreed.

"So we are no longer four?" I clenched my fists.

"Of course we'll always be four, I just thought we could use a new friend but not that we are gonna share with her everything we share." Sabrina assured me. I breathed a sigh of relief.

"Let's hang out afterschool!" Bekka enthusiastically suggested. I immediately brightened and bobbed my head like a doll.

"Good idea!" Sabrina gave her a thumbs up. Alison eagerly clapped and we made plans. Bekka had a mischevious grin on her face as we neared where we ate.

"Hey guys, I'm sorry to exclude you on this one...but would you like to hang out with us afterschool today Kassie?" Bekka snuck a look at my half horrified half shocked expression. I was really pissed right now. I couldn't believe her.

Kassie brightly smiled, "Sure!"
