Episode 4: Treaty to Save The Galaxy
Nark sat in his office holding a weathered helmet. The brown rust and damaged head piece looked at him. The visor showed his reflection. Part of Nark's face looked back at him in the T shaped slit. Soon, Straze walked into the grey room quickly. She stopped seeing Nark holding the helmet. "What's that?" She asked. Nark turned, looking at her.
"I did recon for a short time. Before My injury before the end of the war." Nark began. "I wore this." He said. "This was a modified clone helmet. Yellow paint marks used to cover it." He sighed.
"It's still there a bit." Straze pointed out.
"A bit." Nark acknowledged.
Many years ago...
A group of clones and republic volunteer units walked through a destroyed building. All held DC-15 blaster rifles in hand. All had yellow marked clone phase 2 armor. The armor was modified to fit their environment. The group walked out of the scorched building and saw the clones and droid armies war it out. Explosions and yells filled the air. "Damn." One of the clones said.
"Damn is right, Cutthroat." Nark said.
"Should we move in?" Cutthroat asked. "Flank?" He asked.
"Commander Torver said to hold here." Another clone replied.
"What does that Jedi know?" A clone asked readying his sniper.
"A lot, Longshot." Nark replied.
"Okay human." Longshot chuckled taking aim.
"If he said hold here." Cutthroat said. "I'm not risking another court marshaling." The clone laughed.
"He betrayed the republic. You were fine, that case was all for media." Nark said as another clone walked over.
"Next set of orders?" The clone asked.
"None yet Slicer." Nark said.
"Understood." The clone replied.
Now
Nark set the helmet down on a stand and looked at Straze. "So what did you come for?" He asked.
"Treaty." She replied. "Strike Team Zero confirmed the Vong." Straze said.
"With what?" Nark asked.
"A casualty." Straze replied.
"Who?" Nark said.
"Didn't say." Straze replied. "Why?" She asked curiously.
"My son is on that team." Nark replied blankly.
"Your son?" She asked.
"Me and Jen's kid." Nark replied.
"Oh..." Straze said looking away. "The Treaty will be signed on the planet. You're allowed twenty men. So is Mon Mothma. It'll be at an outpost twelve miles from the base." The female commander informed him. His eyebrow rose as he turned and looked at her.
"Shouldn't you be the one signing it?" Nark asked. Straze was quiet for a minute.
"Yes but you proposed it, they want your signature." Straze slowly said.
"You seem like you have more information to discuss." Nark sharply said.
"It's Paz." Straze worryingly said.
"Tell me after." Nark said placing his hand on the female officer's shoulder. "If it's anything with him, it's more complicated than before." Nark said walking off. He entered the hallway and looked around, seeing an imperial officer walk by. He approached the officer quickly, recognizing him.
