S409: Spark on the Fuse
Alyss walked down the corridor toward the command bridge of the republic station. She passed a mix of republic and imperial officers. She was adjusting to her new comrades. She sympathized with these ones. She realized they were protecting their freedom and their families just as she did. Nark's imperials were special hand picked not including the storm troopers. Most of the officers who did join were avoiding charges from the republic. She found herself down the center of the central station. Nark, Straze, Tez and Kass were standing there. A hologram of Lössi was projecting from the center table the four were grouped around. She approached it slowly before arriving. She felt a conflict of uncertainty. She came to the table, Tez nodded to her. She looked at the hologram. "News from the senate?" Alyss asked.
"They've built a fleet to aid us in conflicting the Imperial-Vong Alliance." Lössi replied with a break filled with static halfway through. "I told them we know their base and we are to attack as soon as our forces are together." The queen added. Alyss nodded.
"They know of Reiko, correct?" Alyss asked. Lössi's hologram went in static again temporarily.
"Reiko is to be kept secret, the galaxy may go into chaos with the thought of a Vong with metaspecies powers trying to take over." Lössi replied. The hologram shook with another static wave again. "I must go. My sister has returned home, and is attempting to siege the throne." Lössi said fading away.
"Understood." Alyss said ending the transmission. Alyss looked up at Nark and Tez. "How're the Asgard refugees?" She asked. Tez looked down then over at Nark.
"The training I gave and Nark's best men gave was good. They all learn at very noticeably different rates." Tez said.
"Yes, yes. Sadly Cypher Squad was overpowered by Paz's men. They could've helped train them." Nark sighed. Alyss looked to Straze and Kass next.
"The fleet?" She asked.
"The starfighters we have are fit for combat." Kass said. "My group and the ones that assist are ready." Kass added. Straze cleared her throat.
"My TIE fighters have been dismantled." Straze said. Nark turned his head instantly. "They've been rebuilt to be noticeably different than Paz's." She added.
"The Asgardian ships we have need minor modifications that the technicians are working on." Kass added. "Their general returned to aid Lössi." Kass mentioned. "He left behind a company of troops to assist their civilian militias." The pilot commented.
"Let's arm up and mobilize." Alyss smiled.
Droid Command Ship
Jace walked into the bridge holding a disc. It was dark with red glowing screens. Droids walked around, none paid attention to him. A droid commander walked toward Jace in a proper posture. The two came face to face. Jace became uncomfortable. He looked up slowly. He hated being the shortest in the room. He looked into the droid's detectors. The droid held it's claw hand out. Jace placed the disc in it and the droid walked over to a closet. The droid put a code in and a rack came out. One droid body fell off of it and the rest disappeared. The droid put the disk in. The B1 droid's eyes lit up. "I do not agree with that method." Jace commented. "That is creepy." He said. The droid got up and walked over to Jace. It was 23, alive and well.
"Jace Malcom." 23 said. Jace nodded. "Thank you for restoring me to a new body. Your award will be given soon." The new B1-23 said walking off. Jace tilted his head.
Medical Bay
Kyle walked toward Jak's room where doctors were in and out of. Jak had been shot many times by Paz. His body was damaged badly. A doctor walked by with the back of a head piece which caught Kyle's attention. He walked into the room and saw the doctor rest Jak's head on it before covering it with another piece. This piece did too have a robotic eye. Jak was in a suit that covered his chest and head. His leg was patched. His arms covered in armor. The light lit up and breathing was heard. Kyle turned his head a bit. Jak got up and looked around. "The hell happened?" Jak asked as Kyle walked in. Kyle stood next to him in his old Alliance jacket and brown pants. His tall boots clicked as he approached Jak. His pistol had a glow to it.
