~~~Jaewon grabbed Gahyeon's hand pulling her to a room. His eyes searched for any form of honesty in her.
“Were you ever planning on telling me?” he asked watching her intently.
“Why should I? So I can seem like a bad person?” She said as her eyes teared up.
Jaewon chuckled to himself pulling his hair back.
“Where you even planning to help me get out of town? Or where you planning on disappearing as soon as you found your sister?” The taller boy asked feeling impatient.
Gahyeon stayed quiet wiping her tears away.
“Answer me!” He yelled.
“I don't know, I didn't expect anything else to happen! I just wanted to go back and feel like what I did was right,” She whispered.
Jaewon laughed to himself slowly dragging his hand down his cheek.
“Since when was torturing some girl who wanted your sister to be happy, a good thing? Your sister yelled at you for always ruining her happiness, why does she say that? What else have you done?”
The younger girl played with her fingers avoiding his gaze. He grits his teeth growing angry.
“Tell me!” He yelled again.
“I killed our parents,” She said.
“Why?”
Her gaze was met with his, shaking her head.
“As much as you make me seem like a bad person, I did it for us. I knew my father didn't see us as someone with potential, other than being a house wife. I knew he was setting her up for business purposes, not because he wanted her to be happy.”
They stayed silent waiting for each other to respond.
“And so you had to murder your mother? How does this justify your actions?” He asked.
Gahyeon sighed calming herself.
“I knew my mother cared about us, but I couldn't have anyone else ruin my plans. I did what I had to do for her happiness that my father refused to give us,” She said softly.
“I don't even know what to tell you,” He whispered looking down at the floor.
Gahyeon crossed her arms leaning against the wall. Silence filled the empty room.
“Were you planning on killing the girl they talked about?”
She looked up meeting his eyes again.
“With my own hands, no, but I wanted her to feel the same thing I did. I wanted to drive her to the brink of insanity.”
Jaewon stood up walking towards the door.
“W-Where are you going?” She asked watching him leave.
“Did you actually expect me to stay after hearing how much of a manipulative psycho you are,” He spat.
The door closed immensely leaving Gahyeon inside the empty room.
Maybe just a little.
