"The moral of the date rape story, it does not pay to be drunk and horny."
Date Rape - Sublime
"I can't believe that bastard tried to-" he didn't finish his sentence, instead he continued pacing the room. I looked down at the floor, unable to respond.
"Are you sure you're all right, love?" he asked, sitting next to me on the sofa.
"Yes, Louis." I whined, sitting straight up, looking him in the eye.
"Hey, I'm just, just worried about you," he looked sad, his eyes drooping. "No need to get annoyed," he got up from the sofa and went into the kitchen, leaving me to sit alone, making me feel bad. Really, I shouldn't have responded like that, he did help me.
"Don't you realise I was scared too?" Louis' voice echoed in the empty house, anger rushing inside him. "How when I saw you dancing with him, it caused me pain, to see him touch you that way? No one should be able to, but me." That last sentence made me roll my eyes, mentally. He always had to bring out the fact that I was 'his'.
"I was scared I wouldn't get there in time," his breaths started getting more uneven, he was getting too anxious. "Why do you think I was ready to fücking kill him?"
Standing up from my spot on his brown leather furniture, I rushed over to him, silencing him. "Shh," I ran my hand up and down his chest, around his shoulders. "Don't say that, it's okay, I'm okay." He refused to be relieved, so I kept going. "He stopped before he could actually do anything." At my statement, his shoulders sunk. We stayed like that for a while, Louis with his eyes closed, cooling down. I kept rubbing circles into his shoulders, I liked the feeling. It relaxed me.
While his breathing returned to a steady rhythm, I watched his face. He had a really nice one. His nose was really cute, I liked his eyebrows, his eyelashes looked so pretty, but I desperately wanted him to open his eyes. It must be my favorite feature of his.
"You'd think it'd be you comforting me," I joked, making him open his eyes.
"Shut up," he said, walking away, back into the kitchen. The action made my stomach get this uneasy feeling, that I didn't like at all. Trying not to show my disappointment, I sat on a stool, tracing figures onto the countertop.
"I know you were staring at me," Louis said before taking a drink of water. I looked up, not answering. "Did you like the view, doll?"
"Don't know what you're talking about," turning my body around, I jumped off the chair, "not much of a view to look at." Louis had a twinkle in his eyes, and his mouth turned up into a smirk as I walked past him to grab a water bottle from the fridge.
"Do you, do you need a ride home or something?" he asked awkwardly.
Shifting awkwardly, I bit the small tips of my nails. "Erm, I kind of, um, yeah, please."
"What?" he asked, the mood quickly shifting to serious, no longer teasing.
