a/n: I dedicate this chapter to Destiney bc I love her story so much omg you dont even know
About three weeks had gone by and I hadn't seen Danny. Luke and Natalia forbid me, and to be honest, after the scene at his house, I wasn't ready to encounter him yet. So I was bored out of my mind, not participating in my usual gang-life. But the boys from 5 Seconds of Summer (I quite liked the idea of simply 5 seconds of summer, I hated the bloody scorching season) kept me occupied, ringing me up to hang out mostly all the time.
I realised they were actually great lads-not that I had any doubt, I just didn't know them personally- and they were dorks.
And, Louis, well, I hadn't really talked to him since he dropped me home after the party. Just a few encounters around town, here and there. I knew he was mad at me, but I hadn't realised he'd be ignoring me. That brought a glum mood over me, and I wasn't sure why. I really hoped it was only because I was used to him chasing me and nothing else.
"So, Jade, you down?" Calum asked me, finishing his soda. The boys had the idea of going to the park even though it was freezing in the late November air.
"You lot are rambunctious," I rolled my eyes, standing up from the sofa to leave.
-
"Jade, you're so fucking hot," Michael exclaimed, tugging his blue hair as I rode around on a skateboard. "Like, how many girls can ollie, let alone kickflip?"
"It's way bad ass and just plain sexy," Calum added. I giggled, I knew neither of them had a thing for me, despite their very forward words.
"I put the ass," I stuck my bottom out obnoxiously as I circled the two boys, "in bad ass." They snorted as I joined them in laughter, brushing my hair away from my face.
"I'll be right back, please don't make out while I'm gone," I smiled, teasing, and ruffling Michael's hair as I rode off to the water fountain. I wondered when Luke and Ashton would be back, earlier they'd gone to get snacks at the nearby liquor store.
"Munchkin," Ashton rudely bumped his hip with mine as I was bent over, making me stumble away from the water fountain.
"Ash!" I yelled and he didn't say anything as he shoved me to the rest of the group, carrying Luke's skateboard in his hand.
"You could have rode that," I mumbled, a grin creeping on my lips.
He scoffed. "I'm as graceful as a monkey on a skateboard and you know it."
"Mmm," I replied as I grabbed a bag of crisps from Luke and thanked him.
"Don't you want a sandwich? I brought your favourite, egg salad," he smiled at me, his blue eyes crinkling.
"Egg salad isn't my favourite," I huffed.
