The next morning was pritty simple. I got dressed into something presentable for new people and had some breakfast.
But now it was time for me to ask to leave.
"Mom... Is it okay if I visit Ryu today?" I asked.
"What? No, just have him come here. You don't need to be going anywhere. Not with that on your neck," my mom said.
I sighed a little. "Mom, you've got to loosen the reigns a little bit. Please, his house isn't far, I can just walk," I said.
My mom walked over to me. "(Y/n), you've broken my trust. I don't know if I can let you out of the house without worrying about you jumping off a skyscraper," she said.
"Mom, please. I'll call you every once in awhile to keep you updated, I promise," I pleaded.
My mother sighed softly and looked at me. "Fine, you can go. But I want you home at 9 sharp. No extensions, okay?" She said.
I nodded and walked back to my room, surprised she was even letting me leave. When I shut the door, I saw behind it was a creepy looking Yato.
"Look at you, you little mommy pleaser~" he purred.
I screamed suddenly in surprise and backed away from him. "You came in so suddenly!" I yelled.
"You dropped something," he said, gesturing to my body that was laying on the floor.
Suddenly my mom opened the door. "(Y/n)? What happened-" she cut herself off when she saw me laying on the floor.
She sighed and picked me up. "Guess you won't be going to Ryu's..." she trailed off and laid me down in my bed.
I sighed and looked at Yato. "This is your fault. Now even if I do go back in my body, she'll never let me leave," I said to him.
"Then I guess you just won't go back in your body then, eh? Come on, let's go," he said.
"Wait, but you said I'd die if I'm away from my body for too long," I replied.
"Yeah, for a day or so. A few hours won't kill you," he started to laugh. "See what I did there?" He asked.
I rolled my eyes. "Fine then, let's be off," I said, ignoring the stupid joke.
I climbed out the window and jumped down onto the ground below.
"Ah, I knew something seemed to be missing," Yato said as he landed beside me.
"Huh?"
Suddenly I felt a painful yank on my rear end and yelped. Yato leaned over my shoulder and said into my ear, "this tail of yours is your soul coming out of your body."
