Matt x Lance [VLD Fanfic]

Meeting

          Matt was back, due to his intelligent sister Katie, or as she likes to call herself Pidge, rescued him with long work and no rest. Matt was so proud to call Pidge his sister. Once he was out of the dirty rags he had on he had a teal t-shirt and some jeans he comfortably fit in.
          Matt always heard stories of the famous Kieth Kogane who happened to be half galra and the rightful boyfriend of Lance McClain. Matt and Lance didn't have very good of impressions of eachother, but Matt- he wanted to get to know him. If it was possible

      As days passed, LanceyLance, as he likes to call himself, was the sharpshooter of team Voltron. He had the red lion, but had a blue suit, which Matt thought it was ironic, but Matt was Matt [let him be the loving dork he is]
    Not that Lance was unhappy with red, it was his boyfriend's lion of course but he did miss blue. He was actually happy Allura became the new pilot. She has a stronger bond with the lion.

       During goo eating dinner Hunk spoke up "I'm gonna say something here" he paused for a second "What do you all want for thanksgiving?"
        Pretty much everyone went blank including the alteans and galra altean [Lotor]. Galra/altean had no clue about this thanks about giving or giving about thanks??? Pretty much they where clueless. Especially Lotor. Antisocial mom issues
        The Paladins have completely forgot, a few ticks later Allura spoke up "um, what is this 'thanksgiving'?" The human paladins turned towards Allura and decided on who to speak first. "It's a Holiday where you gather around giving thanks to what you have and you earned" Lance was the first to talk "appreciation" was all Shiro said. "Don't forget about the food" Hunk paused only to find out he was getting stared at "what?" He looked at everyone
"Anyways, it's a really amazing Holiday" Pidge did a conclusion of all what all human paladins said. "Are we inviting keith?" Allura asked
"Of course" Lance said trying to hide his excitement but clearly failing
"That is if he has time, if I may remind you we haven't gotten rid of Zarkon yet" Shiro interrupted breaking Lance's dreams. Everyone looked at Lotor who was only silent through everything, everything's been awkward, a little tense since Lotor's been around. He always had this "out of place" feeling and Voltron was trying their best to get along with him. Even Allura.

Dinner soon cleared everyone was in their rooms except Lance and Matt since Matt decided that this was the perfect time to get to know him, it wasn't that late so they had time. "Look Lance, I know we really don't see eachother as best buds but I really want to change that and in hopes of being friends" Matt sounding like the dork he is extending his arm for Lance to shake
Lance grummbled ever so slightly, he denied facing his side but had second thoughts about this, maybe it wouldn't be so bad, it was Pidge's brother after all. It wouldn't be that bad. Would it? Lance faced him again and took his hand noticing the shitty grin Matt had on his face
They headed to Matt's room which was pretty much nothing but he didn't bother. He pulled out his list of questions "okay first thing's first" he looked at Lance who was giving him a 'really dude?' Look but Matt brushed it off "What's your favorite animal?" He started with an easy question "easy" Lance paused for a second "sharks"
Matt snickered "really?"
"Hey!" Lance hissed "fine fine" Matt calmed himself "yours?" Lance asked. Matt didn't hesitate "dogs"
"Original" Lance shot at him "whatever" Matt rolled it off his shoulders not sure if that was an insult or not "hmm, favorite music/singer/band?" He was so not prepared for Lance's answer "Shakira, Beyonce and Daddy Yankee" Matt couldn't hold it in he bursted laughing with tears "it's not funny!" Lance screeched "fine fine it's not"
"You tell me yours then" Lance crossed his arms very salty
"I listen to Luis Fonsi and Camila Cabello" Lance heard of them and completely shook someone actually listened something somehow related to what he listened "but mostly kpop" and Matt ruined it. Lance didn't say anything "Look who's original now" Matt told him "whatever" Lance huffed
"Alright, what is your biggest fear?" Lance's playful grumpy expression turned into real emotion in his eyes. Lance smiled and sOUNDED sO faKE (faker than Cardi B singing Bodak Yellow)
"Spiders" Matt didn't believe it at all. None one bit, he did understand though, they weren't even that close. "And yours?" Lance tried his hardest not to stutter
"Mine's being not able to see my family ever again" the way Matt said it was so blunt. Lance shook his head but soon they where both interrupted by a bothered Katie "Hey Matt I-" almosting kicking down the door but noticed a Cuban Lance in the room "Oh hey Lance, what are you doing here?" Matt looking at how late it was, it was pretty late so Lance sat up from Matt's bed and walked beside Pidge "oh nothing, see you" Lance quickly speedwalked his way out of there and Pidge faced her brother as soon as Lance was out of sight speaking these supper high technology words only Matthew and Katie could communicate with eachother, along with hunk, but he wasn't there. "Ok so . . ." Katie's voice faded from Matthew Holt's ears since he really wanted to get to know Lance McClain's biggest fear.

The next day Matt woke up ready and dressed. When he walked jnto the lounge area, they found Voltron [including Lotor] talking to the blade of marmora and Keith. They did have time for thanksgiving but couldn't stick around for too much. Even if it was for a little time Lance was taking that time and treasuring like a life time. You can tell how happy Lance was just by looking at him.

"Good morning Matt" Shiro's voice made Matt snap out of his thoughts
"Morning Shiro" Holt smiled.
