From morning to night, I practiced with Harry and the twins. I never knew how much work chasers actually did, and this wasn't even the actual practice yet! I asked the two first years if they wanted to practice with me and they excitedly said yes. They eventually got tired and went to the feast early.
I fly out with the quaffle and headed towards the hoops, when I suddenly see a bludger headed towards me.
"I've got it!" I heard Fred say as he knocked it out of my way.
"Thank you!" I sang to Fred earning me a wink from him and continued towards the hoops where George was playing keeper.
I was about to throw the quaffle when I saw Harry from the corner of my eye. He attempted to bump into me, but I flew higher and he missed. George wasn't keeping his eyes off me as I got closer to the goals. I flew up a little higher and pretended to throw the quaffle in the highest hoop, but threw it to the middle one.
"150-30 Grangerrrrr!" I yell doing a victory loop on my broom as the boys flew down.
"Great job today, Leah!" Harry said as I got off my broom and gave him a hug.
"I told you you were brilliant!" George said as he gave me a hug.
"Actually I reckon George gave it to her!" Fred said as he tried to hug me, but I pushed him away. "Of course I'm only jokin'!"
"You're a prat." I teased Fred as we all headed towards the locker room and eventually to the feast.

The next day at breakfast I was eating with Ginny, Hermione, Neville and Seamus. Harry and Ron seemed to have slept in a bit and the twins were eating with Lee, Katie, Alicia and Angelina.
"I heard that practice went well yesterday." Ginny said with a smirk.
"The twins tell you?" I asked as I poured more pumpkin juice in my goblet.
"Oh they told me alright. They wouldn't shut up about it last night in the common room. You went up to bed early and I got stuck with those two. Total nightmare I tell you." Ginny said as we all laughed.
"We'll be watching later. Good luck!" Hermione said with a smile.
"I know you'll do awesome!" Neville said as he swallowed his bacon.
"Hey Leah, if you get in the team, I'll do your homework for you if you want!" Seamus said laughing.
"No thanks, Seamus!" I said as I gave him a light nudge.
We continued to eat and Harry and Ron finally arrived. We talked for a while, and eventually it was time for the try-outs. I headed to the locker room with Fred, George and Harry. Angelina, Katie and Alicia came moments after us. I changed into Harry's extra equipment which was about a size bigger than me, but it was a better fit than Fred and George's and we headed out to the field. About two 6th years, one 3rd year and 4th year along with the two 1st years were already out doing some last minute practices. I looked up at the bleachers and saw Hermione, Ginny and Seamus waving at me and I waved back. I looked at George and I could tell he knew I was nervous. He gave me a smile and I instantly felt better.
"Gather 'round!" Wood called as we headed towards him, forming a circle.
He dropped the chest that he was carrying which contained the Quidditch balls. He looked at each and everyone one of us. He nodded at some of the new comers, gave the oldies a glare and me a.. smile?
"Now, like I said before. Just cause you were in the team last year doesn't guarantee you a spot this year. I'm actually looking forward to our try-outs today. I have a feeling that we won't have the same team as last year." Wood said as his eyes landed on Angelina's, Alicia's, Katie's and then to mines. "Right then, good luck to everyone!" he said as he kicked the chest open and the snitch and the bludgers were released, leaving the quaffle.
