(25) Too Soon?

        These passed 2 days were like hell. I was stuck in bed rest and the only time I left my bed was during meal times. Hermione, Harry, Ron and Ginny mostly kept me company. They came occasionally to check up on me, but other than that, they were at Diagon Alley. They bring me back stuff whenever they leave, but it wasn't the same. As for the twins, whenever they came to visit me, I pretended to be sleeping, or Hermione made some excuse for me. It hurt, and I hardly talked to anyone because of that. I felt like a piece or.. pieces were missing. When we get back to Hogwarts, I would probably sneak to the boys dormitory or something so we can talk. I also had Quidditch practice with them so Hermione couldn't blame me for that. It was a win-win situation and plus, I finally took off the bandages on my head.

"Leah? Are you listening?" Hermione said irritated, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Huh?" I said as she rolled her eyes.

"I said your trunk and Jinx's cage are already in the taxi. Let's go!" she said as she left.

        We were headed to King Cross station today. Finally.. I really missed Hogwarts. I was so excited to find out what this year had in store.  Hopefully it was a lot better than the previous 2 years. What I meant by better is no more bad things happening.. doubt it. Especially since that murderer Sirius Black was on the run. How can someone escape Azkaban like that?
        I shivered. I heard someone knock on the door and I look up to find Ron smiling worriedly at me.

"Are you ok, Leah?" he asked as I nodded immediately. "We better go then."

        I nodded again and followed him downstairs where the other Weasleys were along with Harry and Hermione who was holding Crookshanks like she was going to get catnapped anytime. I watched as Hermione awkwardly looked at Ron. Were they still fighting about the whole Crookshanks and Scabbers thing? I glanced at Harry and he had the same 'when is it going to end?' look. I mouthed 'I'm glad we have owls' to him and he gave me an amused smile.

"Alright children, we're running a bit late aren't we? It's already 10:30, let's get a move on!" Mr. Weasley said as he ushered us out of The Leakey Cauldron.

        Everything was a blur after that. I guess I was still bothered about the whole prank incident. This was really stupid now that I think about it more. It was an accident. I shouldn't have to ignore the twins just because of that. I'm my own person for Merlin's sakes.

"LEAH!" I heard someone shout as I returned to reality.

        Everyone was running out of their taxi with their trunks towards platform 9 3/4.. except for me. It took us about 20 mins to get here since it was a bit traffic and we had 4 taxis. I blinked a couple of times and realized I was left behind. Slow much?

"Stupid.." I mumbled to myself as I quickly grabbed my trunk and Jinx's cage from the back.

        I ran towards platform 9 3/4 as the train started to steam up. I didn't see Mr. and Mrs. Weasley or the others, so I decided to just get in before the train left me behind. A 6th year Hufflepuff helped me with my trunk as I hopped on the train. I thanked him and headed towards the middle of the train where the other Gryffindors were usually at. I opened the door to go to the other part of the train when I realized where I was.. the Slytherins compartments. I mumbled some un-lady like words and sighed as I quickly made my way to the other door. I felt eyes on me as I passed each compartment. I finally reached the door and guess what? I was still in the Slytherins compartments. I sighed again and quickly made my way towards the next door, trying not to make any eye contact. I was close to the door when someone grabbed my wrist. I spun around and found gray eyes staring at my hazel ones (yeah, my eyes decided to be hazel today and my hair was a lighter shade as well).
