chapter six - thanks, trashmouth
"Where are they taking him?" I said quietly, looking at everyone.
"Probably to get tubed." Bev muttered, sighing sadly as she got up.
"What does that mean?" I asked, as we all moved out of the cafeteria, hoping Richie would be okay. We walked to the doctor's office for our daily medications.
"He's going to get an NG tube, which is a tube that goes through the nose into your stomach and force feeds you." Bill explained. My heart dropped for Richie, and I sighed sadly.
I really hope he'd be okay.
Eddie Kaspbrak's POV:
30 minutes later when the bathrooms were unlocked, Bill and I lead Mike, Bev and Ben towards the bathrooms in our hall, where the blood lay, just awaiting our arrival. Richie still hadn't come back, and I was starting to worry that he had been taken to another unit or something crazy. My anxiety was biting at me, but I tried to push it off, having much bigger things to worry about right now.
"Are you about to kidnap us or something?" Bev lightly joked, causing me and Bill to look at each other uncomfortably.
"N-not us, s-something else." Bill said, and everyone's eyes widened.
"I was joking..." Bev whispered, frowning at Mike and Ben confused. They shrugged, looking back at Bill and I as if we were batshit insane.
"Okay, we're going to open this door. Tell us what you see." I ordered, putting my hand on the door handle. They nodded slowly, as if we were toddlers. I opened the door slowly, the metal creaking loudly with anticipation. I watched the three, who showed no signs of fear, or anything. Just confusion. I frowned, and peeked into the bathroom.
There was nothing there.
I looked at Bill with my eyes wide, who looked just as confused as I did. We made worried eye contact, not knowing what to do now.
We probably look fucking insane now.
"I see a bathroom?" Mike said, looking to us frowning. Bill mouthed "fuck" to me, and I quickly closed the door, smiling sheepishly.
"Um.. no blood or anything?" I double checked to make sure, and Ben looked at me horrified.
"No?! Did you kill someone in here or something?" Ben asked, his eyes wide.
Probably shouldn't have double checked.
"N-no no no! I, um.. we'll explain later." I quickly said, and grabbed Bill's arm, dragging him away from the group as quickly as I could. I didn't look back, not wanting to see their confused and concerned glances.
"Bill! Eddie! What the hell!" Bev yelled after us, but I didn't look back to acknowledge her or anything.
Why the fuck was the blood gone?!
I dragged him into me and Richie's room, slamming the door behind us.
"Fuck, Bill! The blood is gone! Right when we needed evidence to show them what's going on!" I yelled, leaning back against my door in frustration. I wanted to slam dunk myself into heaven right now.
"W-why would it just d-d-d-disappear like that? Does that mean they're not in d-danger?" Bill said, pacing around my room anxiously. I groaned, my hands in my face.
"Then why can't we see anything? This doesn't make any sense." I replied, moving from the wall to sit on my bed. I flopped onto my bed, sighing.
"Why is any of this happening in the first place anyway?" I sighed heavily. Bill groaned, leaning his head back.
