chapter ten - get fucked, molly ringwald.
"Ben's probably found out by now, he was going to his room." Bev said, and I sighed, frustrated.
"This is horrible." I groaned, opening the door to Bill's room. Ben didn't deserve to be involved in this. Hell, no one deserved to be involved in this.
Bill's room didn't look much different, Stan's items were still there. I'm surprised nurses haven't trudged through, taking everything away and putting another poor unfortunate soul in Stan's place.
"B-Ben will be okay f-for now. W-we need to p-plan out tonight." Bill said, sitting down at his desk.
Oh right, our crazy ass plan to crawl through disgusting sewers and get killed.
Eddie Kaspbrak's POV:
"I hope you guys realise how risky this is, leaving the hospital. What if they notice us gone, and when we get back we get in heaps of trouble?" I pointed out, as we discussed ways to get out of the building.
"If w-we're back b-before 8, we'll be okay." Bill said, sitting on his bed. Me and Bev sat on the floor, leaning up against Stan's bed.
"Will we really be back by 8? How do we sneak out, find a sewer, search the sewers, and sneak back in without being caught or getting lost? This place is high security, it's not going to work." I was still hesitant to play out this plan, there are much better ways to handle this, I'm sure.
"Unless you can think of another way to find this clown's home, I think this is all we can do, Eddie. I'm worried too, but would you rather let all your friends die?" Bev said, looking to me. She's right, and I hated it. I couldn't let my friends die just because I'm too pussy.
I sighed, giving up on trying to talk them out of this. Technically I agreed to doing it, but this doesn't mean I wanted to do it.
I wish this clown lived in some dodgy room in the hospital, not the goddamn sewers.
"So, we'll meet at the same place as last time at 10:30, as lights out is 10. We need to figure out how to get out, first." Bev decided, looking up at Bill.
"There are guards in front of every exit in this place." I said, leaning on my hand.
"W-we c-can go out a window." Bill suggested.
"What window, though? The only window big enough for us to sneak out of is the one in the window in the lounge, but it barely opens more than a crack." Bev said.
"So our only options are trying to get past guards, or breaking a window, I guess." I said. This is not going to work.
"If we want to get out as soon as possible, we'd have to break a window." Bev shrugged, like it was no big deal.
"Uh, if we do that, we're definitely going to be caught!" I exclaimed.
"Not if we sprint. When we come back, the most they can do is take away things like visitation rights from your family and stuff like that." Bev said. Bill nodded in agreement.
"We s-should go through the window. W-w-we'll have more time to explore the sewers." Bill said.
"This is so not going to work." I sighed to myself.
"Remember that this is life or death, Eddie." Bev pointed out to me.
"I know I know." I replied. I heard footsteps approach the door, and the doorknob turned.
Richie walked in, opening the door. We turned to look at him, and he sighed in relief.
"Jesus, there you guys are." He grumbled, sitting next to me. "What happened while I was gone?" He asked.
