The night was spectacular. We went on the Ferris Wheel, we ate loads of fairy floss and we all failed at winning big teddy bears. The end of the night was drawing near and the boys wanted to go on one more ride.
"Let's go on the teacups!" I suggested. They looked at me strangely. "It holds nostalgic memories ok?"
"Let's go on the Haunted House!" Zayn exclaimed. The boys all agreed. "You coming Jaida?"
"I think I'll sit this one out guys. I don't do scary roller coasters. Actually I don't do roller coasters at all."
"Oh, you want to go on something else then?" Liam asked.
"Nah, it's alright. You guys go ahead." The boys looked at me sceptically. "I'll be fine," I assured them.
I watched as the boys the boys ran over to the Haunted House, pushing each other and trying to trip each other.
"You don't do roller coasters either?" someone whispered, their hot breath in my ear. I turned to see Harry and I smiled.
"I didn't pick you to be scared of roller coasters, Mr Styles!"
"Well maybe that's because you don't know me too well."
"Well then maybe you should let me get to know you," I said playfully, looking up into his eyes. We stood there for a moment, lost in each other eyes. Then I broke the silence.
"Tip! You're it" I exclaimed.
Harry looked confused. "What?"
"Catch me if you can!" I teased over my shoulder as I started running away from him. The lights blurred as I ran. I found a little nook between the Ferris Wheel and Dodgem Cars and decided to hide in there. Harry would never find me here. I waited and watched, looking for Harry.
"Gotcha!" he whispered in my ear as he came up behind me.
"What? How did you find me here?" I asked but instead of replying Harry started tickling me. I giggled and tickled him back. Then we both just stopped, our faces barely two centimetres apart. Harry put his hand to my cheek and brushed loose strands of hair from my face. Then he pressed his lips against mine and nothing else seemed to matter. My hands moved to his neck and he placed his hands on my waist. He kissed me softly and tenderly and it felt like it was meant to be. We were lost in each other's embrace when we heard cheering. We broke away from each other to see Louis and Niall a couple metres away from us.
"Get in there son!" Louis encouraged.
"Get a room you two!" Niall joked. I picked up a piece of rubbish that was lying on the floor nearby and I lobbed it at them. I missed both of them and laughed at my appalling throw. I stood up and straightened my shorts and quickly combed my hair with my hands. I watched as Harry fixed up his hair and we joined Louis and Niall.
"Where are Zayn and Liam?" I asked slipping my hand into Harry's.
"They went to get some drinks. Harry they're getting you some apple juice and Jaida they're getting you a slushie."
I smiled. Slushies were my favourite. Then as if on cue, Liam and Zayn appeared, drinks in hands. They distributed the drinks and we found a bench to sit on before the fireworks started.
"Hey, I'm going to grab some more fairy floss!" I announced.
"I'll come with you," Harry volunteered.
He slipped his hand into mine and we walked off to the kiosk.
Liam watched Harry and Jaida walk off to the kiosk intently.
"Hey what's the deal with Harry and Jaida?" he asked.
"Oh Niall and I forgot to tell you guys," Louis started then he leaned in. "We caught them snogging in between the Ferris Wheel and the Dodgem Cars!"
"Whoa. Well good on them I guess!" Zayn exclaimed.
"They've only known each other for like what, four weeks and they are already sucking each other's faces off?" Liam stated.
"Oh! Are you jealous Liam?" Niall teased.
"No!" Liam said a little too quickly. "I just don't think they should rush into anything. Shhh! They're coming back over!"
I walked back to the group with fairy floss in one hand and Harry's hand in the other. We reached the table and I sat on Harry's lap.
"What were you all talking about so intently?" I inquired.
"Oh... nothing nothing..." Liam trailed off.
I looked at the other boys and they all just shrugged.
"Anyone want some fairy floss?" I asked to break the awkward silence that had settled. Everyone said no expect Harry, so I tore off a small piece of fairy floss and popped it in his mouth whilst he tried to playfully bite my fingers. Then a bright red firework lit up the night sky, followed by a green one, then a gold one.
"It's beautiful," I muttered to myself.
"Not as beautiful as you," Harry said. I looked over at him and blushed. I put my lips to his and kissed him. I completely forgot about everything else until Liam coughed. I looked at the boys and realised they had all averted their gaze while Harry and I kissed. I giggled and curled up in Harry's lap to continue watching the fireworks. I loved the fireworks. I entwined my hands with Harry's and buried my head into his chest. This moment was one of the most special moments I had ever had. The fireworks, me, Harry, the carnival. It was just one of those things that give you a warm fuzzy feeling whenever you think about it. The fireworks ended and it was time to meet back up with Esther in the parking lot. We quickly rushed and got into the back of the black limo.
"You're late," Esther said.
"Sorry it was my fault! I wanted to stay till the end of the fireworks!" I said. I didn't want to boys to get in trouble and I figured Esther wouldn't get mad at me if it was my birthday.
"I think you might be a bad influence on these boys!" she teased as the screen rolled up. I curled up in the backseat, my head on Harry's shoulder, and I fell asleep.
I awoke to find myself curled up in Harry's arms. He was carrying me up the stairs. I rubbed my eyes, making sure that this wasn't a dream.
"Sorry to wake you," Harry apologised.
"You better be sorry!" I teased and tried to get down from his arms.
"I have you now, I'm not ever letting you go," he said tightening his grip on me and placing a kiss on my forehead. I tucked my head into his chest and for the first time since moving to London, I didn't want anything to change.
